Found to be fair
by Dave , 08/18/2012
I have found Ohio Scrape to be fair. I deal with them alot with selling my scrape. I've bought parts from them in the past. The guy that i talked with back then was and idiot but since then he is gone. those that i deal with now are very good people! Thanks Ohio Scrap!

At Ohio Scrap we try hard to please every customer, we pay according to what material customers have. We treat everyone according to how we want to be treated, which is good. If a customer has a problem here then we want to know about it, we will do whatever we can to make a customer happy. We are family owned and operated, our employees and customers are treated as family. We want everyone that comes here to feel welcome here. As far as parts go anything that is 10 years or older has no warranty. But we test every motor and trans before its pulled. We are more than fair to every customer whether it be for scrap, parts or towing.
SCRAP SELLERS BEWARE!!!!

SELLER BEWARE!!!!! The lady in the office is very nice, but the guy in the office is very unfriendly and will try to short change you on your metals. Go across the street or to Toledo if you were thinking about cashing in your metals here.

Crooks....Bought a transmision from them online that I had found through Car-Part.com. They completely mis represented the trans. When recieved gear teeth fell out of the drain plug which was missing. Tail shaft housing had a huge crack. There disciption said pops out of gear. When I tried to get some of my money back they said too bad!Warning ! Dont do business with them!
From a former regular customer .

I've been a regular customer of Ohio Scrap since it opened a few years ago , always satisfied with very fair price strutures for the scrap I bought to them . I'd also like to compliment the front desk staff for their fairness and friendlyness . But today I took a old pontoon boat in to scrap and according to the manufacturer and a online marine parts site I was shorted 120 pounds due to them docking me 600 pounds for the plywood deck that was on it , They docked me 100 pounds a sheet for the wood but the actual weight according to the manufacturer was 80 pounds per sheet of their top rated plywood . So when push came to shove, I was shorted 120 pounds cridit for clean alumium . As a former business man, I found this to be VERY DISAPPOINTING ! Will I do business there again with Ohio Scrap ? DEFINEATELY NOT . O find it highly unacceptable to have been shorted 120 pounds of scrap alumium . Sorry guys but it only takes one bad experiance to loose a customer for good .
