This Clinic will Truly CARE for Your Pet!

by Cara , 12/05/2012

I believe exemplary service deserves notice, and I want everyone in the Blaine area in need of a vet to know about the fantastic care they will get at Northwest Veterinary Clinic.I live outside Boston, Massachusetts. While my husband and I were visiting family in the Blaine area, my cat let himself out of their house and did not return. Two weeks later—after we were forced to leave for home without him—he turned up at the local shelter. That wasn’t a safe place for him to wait while we arranged transport home, and our family was unable to take him, so we had them drop him off at Northwest Veterinary Clinic. They could not have done a better job for us. First, they talked with us about how he was acting and what he was doing when he was dropped off, because we were still attempting to verify we had found the right cat—his microchip had failed. While the shelter didn’t speak with us at all, the clinic observed him and told us about the personality they saw. (It was definitely the right cat!) He was dropped off for boarding without food—they found food for him. He had been exposed to an upper respiratory infection at the shelter and was sneezing—they carefully monitored his condition but didn’t medicate unnecessarily. They called us and accepted our calls to check in and patiently tolerated the complete ambiguity about when he was leaving (whenever the transport company could get there). They checked in with us before placing the new microchip the company sent to replace the broken one.Overall, there was just an obvious care about animals that came through clearly, even on the telephone across more than 3000 miles. These people who were working with my cat cared about my cat and me, although they would never meet me! Olli spent some five days at the clinic before being picked up, and we are extremely grateful for the excellent care he received there. We only wish we could make this clinic our regular vet!
