Northwest Technical Institute is as close to an insurance scam as you can get, while still maintaining legality. It was designed from the ground up to cater to its #1 customer, Oregon Workers Comp. Workers Comp is able to remove the injured worker from its books, the school receives payment, your vocational rehabilitation counselor receives their kick back for referring you to the school. Everyone benefits right? Everyone that is, except for the displaced worker who was just handed a worthless bill of goods.The curriculum is extremely outdated. The Instructors are previous students with questionable real world working experience. Plus none of the "training" is transferable to a real University.This is just one more, of the many industries that prey upon the honest injured and/or displaced working man.Beware. Do your homework and avoid this charade of a technical institute.
