Located in Chicago's northern suburbs, NorthShore University HealthSystem is an academic health system affiliated with University of Chicago's Pritzker School of Medicine. Our integrated delivery system includes Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park, and Skokie Hospitals as well as the NorthShore Medical Group, Research Institute and Foundation.

Skokie Hospital

Founded in 1963, Skokie Hospital has provided high-quality healthcare for nearly five decades. The 175-bed acute care hospital is nationally recognized for its expertise in cancer care, cardiac care and orthopaedics.

The Illinois Foundation for Quality Health Care has recognized the Hospital as one of 43 hospitals nationwide for its Surgical Care Improvement Project Commitment to Quality Award. Additionally, in the Blue Cross Blue Shield Hospital Survey, Skokie Hospital scored in the top 50 percent of participating hospitals in 2007 and 2008. For its comprehensive cardiac care, the Hospital was named one of the Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospitals in the nation for cardiology and heart surgery programs. Skokie Hospital’s Level II Trauma Center—Emergency Department—is staffed by experienced trauma team members specially trained in pediatric life support.
