Let me start by saying that I had never needed a service call for my refrigerator, so I googled repair services in St. Paul. I noticed that Northland had some great reviews, so decided to take a chance. I called them, spoke to the technician and he said a representative would arrive the next morning. Dave Perzichilli arrived at 7:30, listened to my explanation of the symptoms, and went to work immediately to fix it. He helped educate me on several things I didn't know about my refrigerator, including my ice maker, water filter, and how to get at some of the dust that accumulates on the coils at the bottom of it. It's obvious that he's a pro at his work and, as he worked, he listened to my questions and was able to help me. He's the guy you want to service your refrigerator - a class act. My experience with Northland and Dave was an absolute pleasure and I would recommend him to anyone.
I've used Northland for more than a decade and am never disappointed. The service is complete, professional affordable and most of all honest. The best.

I was very pleased with Northland Appliance. When I called to schedule a service call, they asked lots of questions to troubleshoot the problem (broken torsion spring inside the door) and then worked around MY schedule to come to our home. (What a novel concept!? They didn't tell me a range of hours, multiple dates out, etc. when they might be available.) The repair technician arrived on time, with all the necessary microwave parts and tools, removed his shoes, and went to work. Very professional and experienced. He worked quickly and had the microwave door repaired and the bill was $100 LESS than the estimate from the appliance repair outfit I had been referred to by the appliance store where we had purchased our KitchenAid microwave/oven combo. Thanks, Northland. Professional, experienced tradespeople do still exist in the world. Will call them again with the next inevitable appliance problem.

Courtesy tip call could have saved us $90 service fee by
1. We called Northland Appliance, which we thought we may have a refrigerator issue, instead it turned out to be a faulty electrical outlet, which is the first item the Northland Technician inspected. We next called our Electrician, and that was the first question they asked us to determine if indeed it was electrical - to test it with a nighlight or radio - to save us the service fee if it doesn't turn out to an electrical issue - so my electrician did whtat they term the first initial diagnosis over the phone. I asked Northland how come they also didn't ask us to check the outlet first as a courtesy to save us a possible unecessary service fee, and their response: "Oh normally they do, but this time they forgot" - I bet several times they haven't forgot, and these $90 service fees are easy pickups for them, being we are only 2 miles down the road from them! And not for the second issue.2. The technician never bothered to ask or attempted to remove his outdoor shoes. We have
