A Found Treasure

My wife and I were leaving the comfort and diversity of Chicago in late 2007 as we passed the unassuming exterior of this restaurant. With heavy traffic and hunger pangs, we pulled in. We found the service attentive and delightful (we have an energetic 20+ month son). The food surpassed anything we considered in the Windy City. The Dim-Sum fare was like nothing we'd ever seen and was well-prepared. The other guests were varied in age and race, indicating to us the restaurant was highly sought out and an oasis for all. It was definitely a family style restaurant. The costs were inexpensive relative to the amount of food and presentation. The New Furama is our staple when we go to Chicago. It was worth the trek from Fort Wayne and it is definitely worth the extra travel time when we're in town from San Antonio for local seminars and presentations. Because of its popularity, parking may be a problem, but we have never had to walk more than a block to get a space. We are uncertain how it is after dark - the neighborhood may be questionable - but it is definitely worth putting on the map for a daylight run.
