Who we are:

There are vitamin stores and health food stores. Corner markets and super markets. Then there is Nature’s Oasis, more than a corner market, it’s a cornerstone market for Durango, a place owners Sherri and Jeff Watson have called home for more than thirty years. More than a super market, it’s a superb market that, under one roof in one beautiful facility, houses the diverse products and food of a healthy life. Nature's Oasis is also home to three wonderful partnering businesses that help to bring additional great eclectic products to our customers, The Wine Merchant, Sunnyside Market and Serious Delights.

From our full line grocery selection to our fresh bakery and organic produce, from our beautiful deli featuring hot entrees, sandwiches, soups and salads to our coffee and juice bar, from our organic produce to our local meat market, from our large vitamin center to beauty products, and from our bulk foods to our online educational resources, Nature’s Oasis is focused on the following commitments: quality of our products, people, and community, buying locally whenever we can, and giving back wherever we see the opportunity.

Supporting local:

We carry as many local items as possible, and share our home with local businesses: Sunnyside Farms Market, Serious Delights Bakery and The Wine Merchant. We are committed to working with local contractors, suppliers, businesses and individuals including with building our new location, customer service excellence training, and marketing.

Giving back:

As part of the Durango community, we donate to many local charities and organizations in southwest Colorado—in 2002 Nature‘s Oasis was named "Business of the Year" by the Durango Chamber of Commerce, largely in recognition of the many ways that Nature‘s Oasis gives back to the community.

We strive to have wonderful personnel and offer excellence in customer service! As a business we know that our future is based on how well we relate to and help our customers, therefore when you visit our store, we want you to feel comfortable when asking questions, or seeking solutions to your health concerns, and simply enjoy your time with us.

Our interest in health education is one of the reasons for developing our informative website; we want to provide you with the most up-to-date information available. Environmentally focused:

Our environmental stewardship is something we consider in everything we do. We were the first business in Durango to purchase 100% green power through LPEA, our new building is extremely energy efficient and meets LEED’s standards, we diligently recycle, and generously support local environmental groups.
