A must see for the young and more experienced alike.

Viewing the exhibit, “From Victory To Freedom: Afro-American Life in the Fifties”, was a pleasant walk down memory lane for me during my recent visit to the museum. I was reminded of how well my parents were able to provide for the family and how much love was in our home as we grew up.

The narrator’s depiction of its’ content was well done, and a stimulating example of how refreshing it is to be in the company of well spoken and highly educated individuals. I was also given an overview and the Wilberforce college history, how students, during the time of the Underground Railroad, played a role in the journey in the lives of the escaping Slaves, information on Payne Seminary and it’s history, as well as the story of each quilt in the “Quilting African American Women’s History” exhibit.

After my visit to the museum, I had a renewed sense of pride in the culture of my race and the family before me.

I hope my friends and family feel the same level of excitement and thrust for more knowledge as I felt as I left the facility. The museum is a must see for all.
