Overcharged and underserved by SearaBeara - 09/23/2009I made a regular cleaning appointment for myself and my husband. We both had our appointments - although the assistant who was with my husband told him she 'didn't have time to finish' so she only cleaned a small portion of his teeth. I signed and paid the bill not realizing I had been GROSSLY overcharged. They charged us $750! Not for regular cleanings but scaling and root planing - which we didn't ask for and were NOT advised we would rc'v. For the 'exam' portion of the visit Dr. Nash looked at our teeth for a total of 30 seconds each. For this they charged us another $75 each.When I called about the bill total I asked how much a regular cleaning costs and was told $112 each - plus a few x-rays is another $50 or so - so where did they get $750? By billing us for services we never asked for [and didn't even receive, in my husband's case]I was unable to recover my money after repeated calls to the dentist's offce.
