my daughter was very pleased with her hairstyle. The breeder was very professional and friendly. The salon was extremely clean and beautiful. They played African music the entire time she was there and she was pain-free so I would highly recommend anyone to go and get the hair braided at nana hair braiding ask for hairstylist, Debrah.

Their customer service is way past poor with a very unprofessional execution of services. For starters the place is a total dump on the inside and outside. I started to keep driving when I saw the building and now I wish I had. The only reason I did opt to go inside was because I really needed my hair done right away, I explained to the hairdresser that I had to be gone by 3 oclock and she assured me twice she would be done. This never occurred neither did she or the other lady that ended up braiding my hair apologize. The lady started doing my hair and didn't offer to wash it etc. I had to request this service which is weird.
One lady started doing my hair and she stopped to take a walk in customer and let some pregnant chic finish it. Like one of the previous reviews stated they stop in the middle of doing your hair and have you sign a wavier form stating you won't sue them for any damage that is done to your hair. What hair salon does this? Obviously they have been sued previously. Then they demand their money upfront. I paid for my hair at the time they requested it which was in the middle of the hair braiding session. The pregnant chic who was braiding my hair says to me about 2 hrs later you owe me ten dollars for the washing of your hair. I'm thinking WHAT....didn't I just pay you $200 2hrs ago and you didn't say anything about I owed you this at that time. They told me my total was $200 dollars which is what I paid. I didn't even bring extra money with me because I was quoted a price on the telephone which was under $200. So this pregnant chic proceeds to continue to braid my hair and another hour goes by and she says to me again you owe my $10 dollars. I told her I didn't have it with me on the inside of the shop. I then asked her if she wanted me to go to my car and get the rest since she was acting so hard up for $10 dollars. She says no. 2:00 roles around then 3:00 comes shes still not finished neither does she or the other hair braider acknowledge they haven't kept their word or even attempted to apologize nor do they offer a discount for this inconvenience. She didn't finish til almost 4:00 meanwhile my children are standing outside of school waiting on me to pick them up. When she finishes I proceed to go to my car to get the balance due. I walk out and I'm on the phone and I see her standing on the porch waiting for me to get the money. I was completely offended by her blatant behavior. I gave her $5 in cash and told her to take the remaining amount off my debit card. She then proceeds to tell me there is a $3.00 fee for using my debit card. I then explained to her I didn't have three extra dollars on the card for the fee. She makes a face like she couldn't believe I don't have 3 extra dollars on my debit card, I'm a business owner and most of my revenue is in the form of cash so I don't always have a high balance on my debit card. She goes back inside and comes back out with my debit card and a attitude in tote. She just handed me the debit card and didn't say anything and I was waiting for her to tell me if it happened to go through or what. She then says you can go since you say you don't have the other five dollars. I was going to offer to bring her the other 5 dollars later that day but didn't since she had a major attitude. She didn't say thank you or tell me how to care and maintain my braids. Again do not visit this salon very unprofessional to say the least. What makes it even worse they profess they are Christians but they didn't exhibit any of the good fruit the bible speaks of and commands us to possess. They watched TBN the entire day, for those of you who don't know TBN is a Christian TV station. There are unsaved people that treat their customers better than they do. We all can confess Christ but our actions and character will be the true verification of who we really are!

Stylist was late for my appointment charged me 300 dollars for goddess locs that were small in the front and large in the back this place is very unprofessional if I payed that much all my locs should have been the same size some were skinny and some really fat please spend your money somewhere else!

I would never get my hair done there again I saw them use the same comb on two different client without sterilizing the comb and they are always arguing about who's doing the client hair and they over charge and there braids are way to tight I had a bald spot after my braids they are so unprofessional they do not greet there customers

They did my box braids perfectly. I was also pleased to know that they do crochet. The lady who did my hair was friendly as well.

I took my daughter there and they quoted me one price over the phone and then when I got to the shop its a different price, Then parted her hair in the middle huge and did the edges small!

I will never step foot in the place again! First thing first! The most I've ever paid for box braids. And only after 3-weeks my braids are coming out and it looks like Ive had them for 3 months. They over book clients. They do not do quality work! Im so disappointed! The worst place ever!!!!! I think I could have done a better job myself!

I got box braids 3-4 weeks ago! And I've already had 2 braid come out!!! With my natural hair at the end. Its my first time getting box braids but don't get me wrong I really like them but i don't want my natural hair to come out too!!

Fayetteville Ladies, this is the place for you! I am a reporter at a local newspaper and I so much enjoyed every bit of my experience at this place that I offered to advertise them for free. Those braiders, no one else in Fayetteville and surroundings equals them in braiding skills, cleanliness of braiding area, speed in braiding, customer service and professionalism. First of all, when I came, the place was packed. This alone impressed me for in my profession I know that the month of September, especially toward the end of the month, is one of the slowest in business. I was received with a warm welcome and my stylist took such good care of me. I described myself as one picky customer in general, but the patience of my stylist and how she showed me the love of God even when she was pricing my style comforted me to the point that I made a friend of her. I saw how all the other customers where all joyful and pleased with the service. I was amazed to see all the different styles that theses women could do. Braiding is truly an african heritage. I talked to many of them and found that most of them had more than 10 years of experience. They where so humble! They make sure that you are comfortable and well cared for. My micros where the best I ever had. but the most important for me was the unprecedented customer service that I had the opportunity to see and experience today. I can come and boldly tell you all that you are safe in the place. You children will be delighted. As for me, I am a lifetime customer at nanashairbraiding. No wonder why they have another shop in Boston, Ma and are getting ready to open another one in Fayetteville. God had truly blessed them.

I had my hair done at this place yesterday. Best braids I have ever had. Best customer service. Very considerable people. Very clean place. I had the best experience ever in a hair braiding place. This is the first time I had my Senegalese twists done in 4 hours. I couldn't believe. The last place I went to in April it took two braiders 8 hours to do the same thing. I am definitely putting the words out there for those people. Because they made sure that I was comfortable I am definitely taking all my family and friends there. No wonder why the place was so pack.

I took my daughter to this salon 9/22/12 to get a full sew in weave. Like on the customers said, the place is an absolute dump and inside is even worse. The bathroom is disgusting and there wasn't even any toilet paper...yuck...anyway...I dropped my daughter off at 11:30 am...when I arrived at 4:00pm, the lady still was not finished with her hair...not only that...she was not even the lady that was supposed to be doing her hair...a pregnant lady came to me before the job was completed asking for payment. So I paid $160.00. I waited another three hours for this lady to finish my daughter's hair. I could not believe that a sew-in weave would take 8 damn hours...on top of that when we were about to leave, I looked at my daughter's hair and all the tracks were showing at the top...needless to say I was livid...I went back in and told the lady that the tracks were showing and she just gives me a blank look...come to find out, she didn't know how to close the top...she even ended up asking another hairstylist how to do it...and she had no idea either...needless to say I was pissed...I couldn't believe that she thought it was ok to send my daughter out with her looking tacky...well she attempted to close the top and now my daughter's hair has a lump at the top and the tracks are still showing...also, this hairstylist had some funny activity going on...there were two crack head looking guys hanging out in the front of the salon and one of them came into the salon...he obviously knew the hairstylist...I was very uncomfortable with whatever transaction they had going on...I ended up calling the owner and leaving two messages expressing my disgust at paying $160.00 for my daughter's hair to look like sh*t. When she finally called me back, she acted as if she was oblivious to the situation, when I explained it to her again...she gave me a lame apology...so I'm supposed to go back today (9/24/12)...so that they can correct the problem...but after this, I will never go back to them ever...neither will I refer anyone to them.

First of all they have all these Christian messages on their website but when you arrive none of the prices even match what's on the website. It's very unorganized and unprofessional. There were people trying to reschedule WIC appts instead of doing my hair. That wasn't even the worst part... The worst part is that AFTER someone starts on your hair they have a pregnant chic get you to pay in full and sign a ridiculous waiver promising not to sue them if they burn you, damage your hair, etc. The stylist kept complaining about how she was supposed to be somewhere else and yanking on my hair in the process. It took entirely too long and I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT NEAR THIS DIRTY UNPROFESSIONAL AND OVERPRICED PLACE AGAIN. Can I get an Amen

I finally found a place in Fayetteville where they do very nice braids. The people are nice and very welcoming. You will be happy there. I had my hair done there 3months ago, i want to take it out now but everyone around me, wherever I go, people still keep telling me about how beautiful my braids look. I had to go back to the shop and get more business cards to hand out.

Those people really know what they do.

I had my hair done at Nana's in Fayetteville. I never had such a beautiful work done in my hair before. i have been to all the other african hair braiding shops in Fayetteville, but Nana's braids are the best. They are nice and neat, so beautiful and professional looking! The shop was very clean and all the people very nice. I had to come here and let the world know that this is the place were you have to go get your hair done: good looking braids, service, comfort, .... they even ordered pizza and drink for all the customers.! I am just very pleased and satisfied with my experience.

The place where the hair is done doesn't look ideal on the outside but is okay on the inside. The personnel there are absolutely awful when it comes to customer service and have no consideration for your comfort at all. Now all the bad stuff is out of the way. The hair they do is absolutely wonderful. I love my hair style. It is extremely tight but I plan on having my hair like this for quite some time so I don't mind. Get there early in the morning if you want to get done soon. I can't hate on their skills just their lack of customer service skills.

This braiding place is average. Some of the stylists do exceptional jobs, and there are some that dont. I just think they need to work on there times. If you have an appointment and you come in and have to wait an hour there is a problem. So it would be better if there customer service comes up.
