Let me tell you about my great experience with Murph's Appliance Repair...After being overcharged and not getting the level of customer service I expected when getting my dryer fixed several months back, I was extremely hesitant to go through the whole ordeal of finding another appliance repair company when my washer broke down recently. I looked up several different places online, but vowed I would NOT repeat mistakes of the past. I knew my luck had changed the minute I called Murf's Appliance Repair. I did have to leave a voice mail with my initial call to them, but got a phone call back within a very short time (probably less then 15 minutes). An extremely lovely woman named "Kim" called to find out more about the problems I was having with my washer. This phone call, which should have lasted just a few minutes turned into the beginning of a 'healing' process for me as Kim patiently listened to my complaints of my last ordeal with a competitor of theirs. I told her how we were severely overcharged by this competitor and that the competitor's technician didn't even bother to wipe down my dryer while he worked on it--a basic service I would expect any technician to do. I explained I did NOT want to go through this again. Kim told me she couldn't speak to what happened with the competitor, but assured me this would NOT happen with Murf's Appliance Repair. As we spoke, Kim patiently went through ALL of what I should expect. In fact, she said, she would have Murfs himself come over to meet with me to introduce me to their business and the level of service I should expect from any appliance repair company. And, while talking on the phone with Kim, my other line was ringing through. Guess who was on the other line? It was Murf himself also returning my call, but Kim already had me taken care of. Talk about superior and caring service--and I was just a prospective customer at that moment.The next day (today) Murf called to let me know he was up the street (at the time Kim promised he would) and asked if it was okay to come over. From the moment he walked in my home, I was impressed. His warm handshake and mannerisms made me very comfortable. As he worked on my washing machine, he pointed out the different parts to me explaining what they did and as he ran his diagnostics, he explained what he was doing and what the problem was--bad lid switch (it turned out to be). And, while doing this, he sprayed and wiped off all the years of dirt that built up inside the machine. He informed me of the cost up front and I was pleasantly surprised. For all the work he did--labor and parts--came to under $125 for everything. On top of this, while we were talking, I mentioned we were retired military and he thanked me for mentioning this and gave a military discount on top of it.All I can say is this--from my phone call with Kim to the final washing machine repair tie up with Murf--the entire experience, level of professionalism, attention to detail, honesty in pricing and caring customer service was A+++. I will definitely be using Murf's Appliance Repair again for all my appliance needs. Being brand new to the boise area, single gal and not knowing anything about fixing appliances i was in need of an appliance repair person. The cord to my dryer needed to be switched. I decided to look up appliance repair websites and came across Murf's Appliance Repair, he had great reviews and here is another one. Murf was extremely helpfull, very nice and fixed what needed to be fixed as well as making sure everything worked including my washer, gave me some tips as well. I felt very comfortable with him in my home. If anything needs to be fixed again i will definatley call Murf's Appliance Repair again. Thanks Murf!!

The drain pump on our wash. mach. broke. We saw Murf's YouTube video on replacing them, which was helpful. But I had questions, so I called him. He was so helpful on the phone - spoke to me for a LONG time over several calls and gave me great guidance. He basically talked me through how to repair the pump in basic terms. He even asked me to email pictures of the machine & called me a couple of days later to check in on me. Here's the important thing & the reason you know that he's awesome: Murf took all that time to help me even though he knew that I live outside Washington DC - he knew that there was no way I would call his service for an appointment - he helped me not because he thought I would be a customer, but because he just wanted to help. That is a true professional. Oh, and by the way, his advice was spot-on and I was capable of replacing the drain pump all by myself - the washing machine is working perfectly once again. Murf's goodwill literally saved me hundreds of dollars.

I am an older lady who lives in Boise. My ice maker on my Whirlpool refrigerator had not been working for some time. I was avoiding having to call an appliance repair company for fear they would take me to the cleaners as some others have done in the past...I am on a fixed income. Well, I worked up enough nerve and called around. When I spoke with Murf's, they made me feel very comfortable. So, I decided to have them come out. Once everything was said and done, I was very happy with the price and the service. They even spent some extra time with me explaining why the refrigerator stopped making ice and also how to better maintain my refrigerator in order to avoid future repair calls. They even gave me a senior discount of 15%. I will never call another repair company again. I also plan on telling all my senior friends to call Murf's Appliance Repair for all their appliance repair needs. Thank you Murf's
