We built a large house out in the country in Iowa and it is quite the drive to Mulhall's, but worth it. The staff member I worked with was very knowledgeable, however, it is many times hard to find help. I wanted simple perinnials to grow and wanted reds, greens, varigated, and some greenish gold because the front of our house is stone and I wanted it to look very natural and simple, since we live in the country. I explained that we have harsh weather and no wind block, as well as no trees for shading anything. He listened to all of this and we made some excellent choices, they are all doing VERY well, expept for one, which Mulhall's will replace. Also, their hanging baskets are to die for!!! I think the prices on their perinnials are competitive I only spent probably $600 landscaping the front of our house, which included around a large deck. We will go back to Mulhall's for our other landscaping needs - we're not done yet!! Prices on other items tend to be high, but I also think the quality is better than many other stores. Too high for the quality you get? Maybe a little high still...
