BUSINESS OVERVIEW
Pet Day Care and Boarding | Veterinarians
Description
Mt. Scott Animal Clinic is a full service independently owned and operated veterinary clinic that has served Portland since 1969. Our doctors are not paid on a production basis and work together to ensure that your pets receive the best veterinary care you can provide them. We provide personalized veterinary care - the way it should be.Our goal is to develop and foster a relationship with you and your pets. That means we want to know your names, we follow up on treatment plans, we want you and your pets to feel comfortable with your clinic experience, and we want to be here for you when you need us.
We work with Animal Aid and accept Care Credit for clients that are unable to afford the escalating costs of veterinary medicine, which we strive to keep as low as possible. We also volunteer to serve as a SE Portland veterinary hub for Multnomah County Animal Control. Animal Control Officers are able to bring rescued or stray animals found in SE Portland to us for evaluation or immediate care.
We believe strongly in preventative medicine and client education. We want to work with you and your pet in an effort to provide care and husbandry strategies that will prevent problems before they start, or catch them early enough to better treat them. We want your pets to be as healthy as possible for as long as possible.

K & Fam by K - 11/16/2009Dr. Conradi and staff are hands down some of the finest in the business. Vet care is not cheap, but their rates are competitive. They are compassionate, caring and truly want the best for your pet. Dr. Conradi did all she could to diagnose a difficult problem with my dog, and make his life easier with medications. She made a difficult decision easier for me by relaying her own personal story, made a house call with her skilled technician, and when my sweet dog's life ended they were nothing but respectful, kind and supportive. I will continue to use this vet as long as I reside in the Portland area, without question.
Mt. Scott Animal clinic is a wonderful place to take your pets by animal person - 04/29/2009I totally disagree with the other review. I have been taking my two dogs and two cats to this clinic for three years and have always had wonderful and compassionate expierences. Both Dr. Conradi and Dr. Bussa as well as the staff are very friendly and always remember me and ask about all my pets. They do not "upsell" their services and always try to cut me a break when they can. Lets face it, vets are expensive but your dollar will not be wasted here.
Dr Conradi and Dr Bob are awesome by Baby'sMama75 - 04/15/2009I read the other review on this website and I wanted to put out there that both the doctors at Mt Scott are awesome. Dr. Barry was very old school and made horrible business decisions, hence why he had to file bankruptcy and sold the clinic. I've been taking my pets to this clinic for almost two years not and am always impressed with the kindness and caring from all the staff. If you are worried about price, ask for an estimate. They are alot cheaper and more willing to work with you than the other vets i've been to in the area. 2 thumbs up!
Go some place else! by Drachen_Fire - 11/02/2008This has got to be the worst veterinarian in the city of Portland! Dr Berry sold the practice and the new owner is obviously impressed with herself and its a good thing because no one else is! Her prices are outrageous, her people skills are non-existent and I would hate to think of how she treats her patient when the owners are not there!
If you want the quality care you were use to with Dr. Barry, you will be disappointed. My suggestion, find someone, anyone else, and by the way, Dr Barry did not retire he just moved to Gresham!
