I’ve been to this golf course a few times…..the first was a decent enough experience however the next two lacked serious customer service. The woman in the pro shop speaks to those who aren’t retired locals as though they are idiots. The last time I attempted to golf here they tried to make me play with someone I didn’t know when I arrived on the 3rd hole tee box. I’m very new to the sport and trying to get a feel for it by playing on my own or with those I know, when I tried to explain this to her she told me I didn’t have a choice. When presented with this option, I told her she could give me my money back and I would be done for the day if that is how they wanted to handle it. She replied by stating they do not refund money and walked away.

If you are new to Golf or simply looking for a pleasant experience, I suggest you spend your money elsewhere. There are much better courses near this area; Lake Almanor and in Susanville if you don’t mind a bit of a drive. It’s evident from the previous review on this course and others I’ve spoken with that this type of experience is common at the Mt. Huff course. Take the advice and DON’T GOLF HERE!
