I called for an appointment to unclog an upstairs shower/tub drain and a slow draining issue in the main floor shower. The technician arrived at my home on time and after looking at the job - quoted me a price ($155.00) to do the necessary work - which he explained in detail. He was very professional and worked quickly to fix my problem (s). When I got the bill, I was surprised to see an additional charge for $108.50 for the work on the second drain - which took less than five minutes to address. I was never told of this charge until after the work was completed and the bill was presented to me. I felt this was totally unfair. I also believed that fixing the upstairs problem could result in a downstairs problem, if we didn't address the slow drain at the time - as a precaution. My rating - 10 for promptness. 10 for fixing the problem (s). 10 for knowledge. 6 for Customer Service - which is part of the quote/billing process that was not handled in a clear manner. I would suggest that in the future, any work that is to be done should be quoted and discussed prior to the work being started. Would I recommend this service provider? For an emergency - YES! For non-emergency work - probably not. I would strongly suggest that you get quotes from additional resources and compare prices before hiring anyone to do any work around your home.

When my kitchen sink became clogged on a Thursday morning, I called Mr. Router and got a live person immediately, not a voicemail IVR. A plumber arrived at my house in an hour and quickly unclogged the drain for $150. I don't know how the price compares to others, but the service was much faster than the experiences I've had in the past with Roto Router and others. I plan to use Mr Rooter in the future.
