I have used this product on my cedar siding since 1988. Great then and even better now. Lasts and lasts. Best looking house on the street.Used on deck since 2000. Lasts about 2 years on flat surfaces which is about normal. Jay is extremely professional and has excellent attention to detail. I recommend Jay and the Woodcare product without reservation.

I have never met a more reliable, honest, and professional service provider than Jay has been during the 11 years in which Mountain Woodcare has been periodically preparing and staining our decks, arbors and extensive fences and gates. His prices are competitive and his willingness to go the extra mile is second to none. His work ethic is consistently high, even in hot summer months when staining work becomes harder. I also appreciate the durability of the product he uses.

Jay does great work, has a great product, and is there for any follow-up work that might be needed. He has pride in his work and his business. Prior to finding Mountain Woodcare, we had used several different stain products and companies. The stain used did not hold up to the sun, the Colorado weather, and the contractors were difficult to locate after their initial work, if any follow-up work was needed.Don't waste your time, call Mountain Woodcare FIRST!

Jay did a wonderful job re-staining my cedar sided home in the mountains. He was dependable and communicated well with letting me know his schedule. He also did many other things for me that I requested since I don't have an extension ladder, like power wash out my gutters, chaulk a leak in the drain pipe, and replace some outdoor light bulbs that I couldn't reach. He is very professional and I would highly recommend him.

Jay power washed and refinished our western red cedar home. We are pleased in every way and highly recommend him for such work. .

Jay refinished our house and decks this fall and we were really pleased with the results! He did such a great job...they look brand new again! He is very professional, dependable and easy to work with. We plan to hire him next year to refinish our detached garage.

Living in the mountains with a large deck means regular care for the redwood. Mountain Woodcare has been cleaning and refinishing our deck for many years. The best praise I can give is that they do what they promise, dependable, and the cost is what they bid. The owner, Jay, is great to work with too.

Mountain Wood Care is unbelievable. It's actually Jeremy Nelson, the owner, who makes Mountain Wood Care what I would describe as a 5-star company. He is literally and figuratively 'hands on' with running his business and of course, with the actual wood work/care that he does. He works very very hard; doesn't take the easy way out, doesn't waste time, is polite and pleasant to deal with. My fence doesn't just look like it was recently stained; it looks brand new (and it's 24 years old!). I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Jay did a fantastic job refinishing our decks. No surprises start to finish and the work was excellent.

Jay and his team are very detail oriented and really understand wood care. I first hired Jay back in 2010 to resurface my very large deck. When they were done, it looked brand new and Jay charged me the exact quoted price. Three years later, I rehired Jay to re-stain the horizontals only as a maintenance year. Again, Jay and his team did an outstanding job and the deck is back to looking like new. (My dogs do a number on the horizontals as this is their main outdoor area.) The job was done on time and at the quoted maintenance price from three years ago.I wouldn't trust anyone else with my deck other than Mountain Woodcare. If you are looking for reliable, detail oriented, budget conscious and friendly work for your home, Mountain Woodcare is your vendor!

The work done by Jay at Mountain Woodcare was outstanding. Certainly my two requirements in hiring any contractor are - excellent conscientious workmanship, and being a person who I can communicate with, AND listens. Jay has more than met both of these. He was extremely careful in staining our fence, and took the necessary precautions discussed that were particular to our job. We are more than happy with the result. Don't give Mountain Woodcare a second thought - you will be impressed !!

Jay stained the trim and the decks of our home, which was an intricate and detailed staining task. From the bid to the finish of the job he communicated what he would be doing and when. He managed our home through three major spring snowstorms with professionalism and care for his work, all while maintaining a great attitude around the project. His stain products are above average quality and it shows in the trim quality. Even my dogs love Jay! I would recommend him to anyone in need of stain work.

Jay has stained our redwood siding house 3 times now, and has done an excellent job each time. He is very conscientious, neat, and prompt. He even had an excellent window washer clean the outside of all windows after he was done. Highly recommended!

Jay took a dried up 3000 SF cedar faced home and made it look like new. The color was rich, the neighbors were thrilled, and the house said, "Thank you." Two years later I built an extensive wooden fence and at a fair price Jay treated the fence. Looked great, and left no trace behind on the gardens. Now at the five year mark it was time to freshen the house: he came on time, charged a fair price, made the house look new again, and clean up? Like he'd never been there. Immaculate. AND the window cleaning. Thank you Jay. Very professional. All three times. House looks wonderful.

My husband & I have a home in the mountains. Jay has serviced our wood decks twice. His work is excellent and I highly recommend him. He's professional, easy to work with and willing to answer all questions. Plus, he's a wonderful person - thank you Jay!!

Jay and his crew did a great job staining our cedar house plus new cedar deck and fence. He was able to get practically all of the "black" mildew/mold out of the wood as well. The secret is a good high pressure wash first but be prepared for some leaking. Just keep some towels handy for doors and windows. I will use Jay again when it needs staining.

Mountain Woodcare has stained our log home twice and both times the results were excellent. They are very conscientious and did a great job cleaning up, right down to sending a window cleaner to my house. I will use them again when it is time to once again stain our logs.

My wife and I recently purchased a home in a neighborhood with multiple cedar sided homes. Soon after moving in, two neighbors recommended Mtn. Woodcare. After the job, I was the one giving referrals when neighbors asked who performed the work.In addition to re-finishing the siding, they also repaired a few large bird holes and patched a leaky window frame.Jay and his team are honest, professional and do excellent work! There is a reason why they have such a good reputation.

I am very happy with the refinishing of my 30 year old log house. It looks beautiful and it's warmer. Jay is very conscientious and cares about quality work. It was a pleasure to work with him. The process was messier than I had anticipated, but the project was well worth it. I am very pleased.

We had a great experience with Mountain Woodcare. Jay is professional, gave an honest assessment of our needs, and did the work quickly but well for a good price. We will certainly hire Mountain Woodcare again next time.
