Welcome to Minoggie Kennels!

Minoggie Kennels is known throughout the country for training retrievers to compete in AKC hunt tests. We have qualified over 40 dogs at the Master Nationals and have placed seven dogs in the Master National Hall of Fame. We have also trained hundreds of gun dogs, many which have hunted right here on Sauvie Island.

Established in 1952, Minoggie Kennels is located on Sauvie Island, just a 20 minute drive from downtown Portland, Oregon. We offer a wide range of services, from obedience and retriever training to boarding and more:

Minoggie Kennels trains older dogs as well as puppies to be great companions by learning a few simple obedience commands. Animals love to learn and will respond well to training. We have trained over 30 breeds, and we encourage owner participation in the training process. No matter what breed of dog you have we have a training program that will be right for you.
