Immediately when I entered the premises, I was greeted by the sushi chef and hostess. I was seated at a table where I was consistantly taken care of by the hostess. The fish tasted fresh. The sushi was moderately proced.

I was expecting so much less when I first experienced Minami Sushi in the Greenhouse shopping center of San Leandro. I have been to Japan many times and have found American sushi shops lacking. But from the first moment I entered and hear the familiar... "Irashaimase!" I was transported back to Japan. The staff is dedicated to authentically serving Japanese style sushi as well as a number of mainland treats and I have yet to taste a dish that lacked. Add the neighborhood aspect and this place rates a 5 out of 5! Treat yourself to some of the best sushi in the Bay Area and give Minami Sushi a try!
