When filing a claim for Workers' Compensation, Social Security Disability, Veterans' benefits or Short- or Long-Term Disability Insurance, it is important to have the assistance of an attorney who focuses exclusively on these areas of law. Midwest Disability's lawyers have more than 50 combined years of experience, helping families through complicated claim filing processes and timely resolving disputes over claim denials. Our law firm represents clients in administrative proceedings before federal and state administrative agencies, and we have negotiated, litigated and appealed disability benefit claim denials in state and federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. Let us put our expertise to work for you in these areas of law: * Workers' Compensation * Social Security Disability * Veterans' Benefits * Short-Term (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance claims Contact us today for a free case evaluation and initial consultation. You will pay no attorney fees unless we recover benefits for you. Workers' Compensation Claims: State law entitles you to Workers' Compensation benefits when you are injured on the job, as well as benefits for dependents if a family member dies due to a work-related illness or accident. Your Minnesota employer is required to carry Workers' Comp insurance. Federal law provides similar benefits for employees of the U.S. government or Postal Service. These laws ensure that injured workers are provided with the necessary health care that may be required to treat their injuries and replace some of their lost wages. If your disability is permanent, you may be entitled to an award for loss of future earnings, as well as Social Security Disability benefits. The amount of your award depends, in part, on whether your disability is total (100%) or partial. You will need to get a report from a doctor evaluating the extent of your disability. If your disability in not total or permanent, you may be entitled to retraining or rehabilitation benefits. Knowing how to obtain and interpret medical records is essential in making a successful claim for a Workers' Compensation award. That is why the attorneys at Midwest Disability spend almost as much time keeping up on developments in medicine and physical therapy as they do on the law. If you are seeking Workers' Compensation benefits after a work accident, contact Midwest Disability today for a free consultation and review of your legal rights. We will explain your rights and options in plain language, and can negotiate and litigate on your behalf to recover the full value of your claim

Terrible firm! Poor communication, incompetent attorney . Never met attorney til half hr before hearing, then 15 min before hearing attorney meets with judge and comes back and says judge found erroneous information in my file, and would likely deny my claim. Attorney should have read my files and made sure they were correct well before the hearing! I cant recommend this firm!

I won with them

Well I can see some commplaints here Yes I never talk to a lawyer always as they call them Intake poeple. But they were very nice and never said anything bad at all seemed liked they cared about me. I think they were overwelmed a couple of times she would pull up wroong notes on case but within a a minute or two we were on same page.Maybe if we had to go to court maybe different case but all my doctors were paid by city of Chicago so they worked for the government so maybe that was in my favor since they were not being paid by me or insurance company.Anyway we won filed in Feb of 2013 aproved in May of 2013.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. THEY DO NOT DO ANY WORK FOR YOU

We hired MW Disability after receiving two denials. From the time we hired them, my husband never spoke with a lawyer but was only assigned a caseworker. They would only contact us to ask if we had any updates. No one ever reviewed our file and gave any recommendations on what we should do to help his case (ie...visit different doctors, physical therapy, etc.). On a whim, I requested a copy of our file that social security had and found out that for one of his surgeries they had contacted the wrong hospital who sent back records saying they had no record of his stay. This was over 6 months AFTER the visit....clearly their "caseworkers" are useless and do not due their job either. We FINALLY ended up in front of a judge after almost 2 years and our "lawyer" didn't even bother to meet with us until right before we went into court. She was not helpful at all and it took me asking all the questions on what to expect and telling her what is problems are. It was clear they wait until the last minute (which is to frickin late) to bother to review your file. Perhaps if they actually did this before hand he wouldn't have been denied by the judge. AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS. THEY ARE ONLY LOOKING TO GET THEIR 25% ASSUMING YOU DO ALL THE WORK FOR THEM. If an actual lawyer is not willing to meet with your, prior to you becoming a client you get what you "paid" for. Lesson Learned!!!!

Bigtime LOSER Lawyers

These lawyers do NOTHING for your case. They call you ONE day before your hearing and I can almost guarantee that you will lose your case because they don't care what your condition is, they don't care if you win or not. They are just playing the numbers game. Sign up thousands..... and a few hundred will pay off. They do NOTHING to help your case, they do NOTHING to get your case considered, they do NOTHING to help you in any way what do ever.... and then they will dump you, like they did me, one week before Christmas with my appeal due. If you want to LOSE YOUR CASE THIS IS THE FIRM FOR YOU!!! Run away, very fast from these money hungry retarded deficient in every way attorneys.

Simply overwhelmed

After 3 years of debilitating pain and struggling I finally decided to file for Social Security Disability. I knew I would need any attorney from everything I've read so found an office close through Midwest Disability. They walked me through the process with ease, kept me informed but not bothered and assigned me to Randall Fuller. Today I met him for the first time 1/2 hour before the hearing, he carefully explained the process and let me know the Judge rarely makes a decision the same day, it's usually another 60-90 days for a decision and then another 60- 90 days for payment. Well I just happened to be that rare case and got a favorable decision right there at the hearing, thanks to Randall Fuller. It felt like he was very knowledgeable and well liked by all the people at the hearing which I believe helped my case so much. Such a burden off my shoulders and I was brought to tears. I'm so glad things just fell into place. What a fabulous experience when everyone said it would never be approved and the self doubts, but Midwest Disability and Randall Fuller really pulled through for me. I would recommend to anyone

Midwest is the Best!!!!!

My words would never do them justice but ill try anyways. Midwest Disability have saved my daughters life and mine. After years of fighting the social security administration for my daughters benefits I decided to get legal help. Everywhere I went I was told that most law firms "don't represent child claims" I was even told that for my daughters claim I would have to seek an advocate company, because that's who typically handle child claims. I hired binder and binder and fired them within a month. Then I found my gaurdian angels at Midwest Disability! They won my daughters claim right away. These people know what they are doing!!! A year later I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of MS. Within a year I was unable to walk without assistance. I called Midwest Disability right away! They waisted no time and started my claim. They battled social security for two years, and let me tell you it was a battle! But Midwest never gave up. They were even able to direct me to resources that enab

very grateful and impressed

When I called them I spoke with the nicest person who reviewed my claim. Not only is the staff there pleasant but very informative. After evaluating my case based on not only medical but financial qualifications they informed me how the process with social security works and how long the wait is at each level. Even though I may have gone a while not hearing anything I knew it was due to the federal government and not the the attorneys. Afterall the lawyers have only 60 days to appeal while social security can take as long as "necessary" to review a claim. I was easily able to contact my caseworker throuhout my claim and when I needed help paying my rent they quided me to some resources that saved my life. Now I am awaiting the hearing in front of the judge. It's the longest wait but I know I'm in wonderful hands and that everything is going to be just fine. Thank you so much Midwest!! You're the best!!

Rude and discriminating! Inoperable cancer and other conditions "not good enough for a case."

I spoke with a representative and explained how I have Hodgkins Disease (a type of cancer), osteoarthritis, and numerous other medical conditions which prevent me from working. The representative was very rude, did not seem to care, barely asked me any questions and told me I "didn't have a case" as I should have no problem working at a "sit down" job. I was very disappointed and when I mentioned this incident to others, I have been told that this company discriminates against certain potential clients as well. I tried to contact someone else in the firm and was told they would get back to me, they never did. I have called several times and none of my calls have been returned. This company really needs to screen or monitor their representatives better.

NOT ENOUGH WORDS TO THANK YOU MIDWEST DISABILITY.

I hired Midwest Disability as my lawyers I must say that they were not exactly what I expected. The reviews were right, They did not contact me often, I had trouble reaching them but all in all they knew what they were doing. We went to court and they "WOWED me," won the case and got me my social security in the blink of an eye after being turned down twice.

Horrible

My son had a case I filed and requested they handle the appeal. For months they never contacted me and now I learned they never requested any medical documents from the list provided to them! My son has tried to commit suicide 2 times, suffers from ADHD and is extremely depressed all the time. He is not able to stay focused to work any type of job and this outfit needs to be run out of town! Intend to file a formal complaint with the Bar (like they will do anything to one of their own kind!) STAY AWAY!

Midwest Disability

I have nothing but bad experience with Midwest Disability. Once they get the paper filed for Social Security Disabily you will never hear from them. Don't waste your money with this firm. There are several other Disability attorneys who will help and stay with you all the way. Midwest Disability will NOT stay in touch with you and you will have a hard time contacting them. Please do not go to this firm and if you did you will be wasting your hard earn money from Social Security $6000 to pay for them and you will get nothing in return
