Went in for an oil change. Asked to use a coupon for $7 off and the guy behind the counter said sure. But then he mentioned a buy one get one free promotion which would save me $33 instead of the $7 I was planning on. Thought they did a good job with the oil change, were friendly, and quick about the work.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE - Called them up and told them I had a part I needed put on my car. They said no problem. I asked what the shop hourly rate was and was told $98/hour. My wife took the car in while I was at work. They charged us for 2 1/2 hours work but only took 1 1/2 hours to do the job. We were told that they have a book that told them it would take 2 1/2 hours so they would bill us for that amount of time even though it only took 1 1/2 hours. What that means is that the shop hourly charge is approx $166/hour. NEVER WILL GO BACK AND WILL ADVISE PEOPLE TO BE VERY CAREFUL IF CONSIDERING GOING THERE.

They said my licence plate light was out..not a big deal. Then said my battery was weak...could be possible. Also said that the hoses have small holes/leaks..could be possible. Although, WHY on earth would my car feel different and sound different? It is a bumpier ride, the reverse now crunches (pulling out of the Midas parking lot), and the car whines when I step on the gas. What are they doing in there? Did give my car have problems to gain more money from a customer who looks as though she doesn't know the first thing about cars?

I will never ever return to Midas.

The last time I went there I had my brakes done. Guaranteed not to squeak, right? I went in with them squeaking right after they changed them and they CHARGED ME!! Guaranteed is not something you should charge for!
