I am sorry this client viewed her experience with my company negatively. MAXIM is IICRC Certified in many areas including Mold Removal. MAXIM strictly adheres to the IICRC S520 Standards & Guidelines for Professional Remediation. The S520 states "When a preliminary determination indicates that mold contamination exists or is likely to exist, an assessment should be performed prior to starting remediation. An independent Indoor Environment Professional (IEP) who has no business affiliation with the mold remediation company should be used for this purpose." This is why this client was referred to the assessment company. The IEP assesses and tests if warranted, interprets test results, looks for causation, and prepares a “Mold Remediation Action Plan” report that strictly follows the S520 Standards & Guidelines. Over the past 34 years in the industry MAXIM has completed a wide variety of small to very large mold remediation projects priced from several hundreds of dollars to tens of thousands of dollars. Projects have included homes, businesses, federal buildings, Offutt Air Force Base, surgical centers and such. It is difficult to give an exact estimate over the telephone and without reviewing the action plan for the project. Our first goal is to educate clients about their options so they can make an informed decision that works for them. There is a right way and a wrong way to remediate mold.
