Rude service ruined our evening by msmith24 - 09/29/2009Do not believe the 5-star reviews, likely from friends of the owners. The food is OK although overcooked, but the service is very poor and rude. We left feeling like we had been ripped off and it spoiled what had been planned as special occasin for my wife and me. Do not waste your money (or your time) on this restaurant.
Disappointing by bn - 10/26/2007Ate lunch there, slow service, food not very good, but at that time Marrakesh was newly opened.
Tried for dinner. Extremely slow service. After 1/2 hour from placing our orders, we told the waiter that we had a concert in an hour -- they didn't make it. We left one couple there to pack the food and pay the tab (they had to walk in at intermission, missing the first part of our concert.)
It took 2 hours from the order placement to the food delivery, and the food was mediocre. Atmosphere great -- but ends there. Haven't been back.

Exotic dining experience by sphinx - 09/05/2007Marrakesh is a Moroccan restaurant where you sit on short stools at a low table and eat the food with your hands. The atmosphere is great, with warm colors, the servers dressed in Moroccan garb, and belly dance performances. The meals are usually multi-course, so come prepared to try out some new tastes and get your hands a little messy.
