Manning Service Center is a local family owned and operated auto repair facility. The physical building was built in 1948. Robert and Sharon Schmidt purchased the building when the Chevy Dealership decided to close their doors. Robert had been working for the previous owners for 13 years. The couple was able to keep the doors open throughout the changeover and the name was officially changed from Manning Motor Company to Manning Service Center. The Manning Service Center opened for business on June 1, 2010. Robert and Sharon have been running the shop, with Robert focusing on auto repairs while Sharon runs the office and the books.
