Laurel has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington 1976 and founded Macdonald Environmental Planning, P.C. in 1982 as a design oriented landscape architectural firm. Her experience includes a wide variety of projects on which she strives to employ sustainable design solutions. The scale of work varies from large scale mixed use urban developments, varied housing types, system wide and regional medical campus healing environment master plans for service providers, to detailed healing gardens, small meditation courtyards and rootop terraces.
