Misleading and unpleasant by ColdBalogna - 09/04/2009I called the main Apple support number seeking a warranty replacement for a clearly defective RAM chip. Apple kindly called MacDocs for me, and the tech at MacDocs said that I could bring the RAM down there and swap it for new memory on the spot. When I got there (25 minute drive), they refused to swap me RAM despite my documented call with Apple. They insisted that I leave my MacBook there for 4-5 days so they could troubleshoot and replace parts as needed. I suspect that they wanted to be able to charge Apple for service in addition to parts.Additionally, they were very smug and unapologetic about their misleading telephone info... I wasted about an hour driving to and from this place. Blah. They were blatantly dishonest and unpleasant. They should be straightforward about what services they offer to prevent such bad experiences.
