Great Care!

When we moved here 6 years ago, we chose Dr. Krause from the Reporter Herald's readers choice. She has twice received "Best Dentist" as Lovelands best dentist as voted by Loveland readers. Our experience has always been very positive. Recently I was experiencing jaw pain which I thought was perhaps TMJ. She recognized that my teeth had shifted a bit and fixed the problem by grinding down a couple teeth that were causing the problem No more jaw pain! The staff is great, always pleasant and hygienists extremely helpful with suggestions for home care of the teeth. I would and have recommended this Dentistry group to others.

Amazing dentist

Dr. Krause was our family dentist when I was living in the Loveland area and I couldn't have been more impressed with her and her staff. She was extremely patient with my boys who were in elementary school at the time and made it so that they weren't afraid to be at the dentist. I would highly recommend Dr. Krause (and I have) to anyone in the area looking for a great dentist

Best Experience

Best Experience I have have ever had. Dr Krause and her staff are absolutely the best. Fixed a issue I had, Quickly with zero pain. Very positive experience. DR Krause knew exactly what I needed, explained everything as she did it so I knew what was happening all the time. Top recommendation from me....

This can't possibly be the same dentist

I am reading this review by Bradley and wondering if this is the same dentist we used. Dr Krause noticed some orthodontic work my son had done by a different dentist. She contacted him and fought to have some work that he had performed corrected. My son ended up having gum surgery because of the braces (that Dr Krause had nothing to do with) Dr Krause was more aware of our son's dental health through cleanings and fillings than the orthodontist that we had spent thousands of dollars with. I would recommend Dr Krause without hesitation.

Dr. Krause and her staff very ...

Dr. Krause and her staff very fantastic. They were very thorough with me and educated me on what my needs were. They were very delicate to my concerns. I would definately recommend Dr. Krause to everyone I know.

Very disappointed in the way I was treated here

After establishing a personal relationship with this dentist, then choosing to have them do the dental care for me and my wife for two years, this fall I had an incredibly disappointing experience with them. It led me to find a new dentist.I've always taken good care of my teeth. I've never had a cavity. I've rarely if ever missed a cleaning and exam every six months. To their credit, they did refer me to the orthodontist whom I eventually decided to have do my braces. However, the incidents kept adding up over time, culminating with the last straw this October.I went in for a regular cleaning. Since I am in orthodontics, this involves going to my orthodontist in Fort Collins, getting my wire removed to facilitate the cleaning, going to Loveland to get my teeth cleaned, then returning to the orthodontist to get my wire put back in. It kills most of a day.The hygienist, upon her initial exam and probing for my pocket depths to check for gum disease, pronounced that I had serious problems that would require special treatment. She proceeded to get the "financial specialist" to create an "estimate" for me - which is when I knew I was in trouble.Instead of my regular cleaning, at around $200 (paid for by me - we don't have dental insurance), I was told, my pocket depths indicated my gums and overall oral health were problematic. This would require, I was told, a special, "deep" cleaning. It would involved them working on one quadrant of my mouth at a time, with shots to numb my mouth so they could take care of the "deep, extensive" borderline periodontal disease that I was suffering from. This would mean FOUR separate visits, time, pain, and, of course, significant extra expense. And don't forget the day-long process of orthodontist, dentist, orthodontist. The cost? Nearly $1,000 in total.I was told that I may even already be suffering bone loss that could lead to long-term, serious issues with my dental health. I was told that no, they could not just do a regular cleaning, because then my tissue would "tighten up" and "close in" areas that were already unhealthy, and that could result in a situation where bacteria was trapped and I would risk forming abscesses. It would also, I was told, require me to come in more often after this special cleaning - every 3 to 4 months, rather than every 6 months - because they would need to work to make sure I did not regress to this horrid state of dental health again.I left, quite upset. My dentist never even examined me, talked to me, or even saw me - this was all done by the hygienist, with the estimate delivered, of course, by the "financial specialist." I called around and had conversations with a couple of dentists I trusted, and made an appointment with one that I felt comfortable with.I went in for an initial consultation with him, and he said he just did not see the kind of issues that I was told I had. We scheduled a new patient exam and cleaning. X-rays revealed no bone loss. My cleaning went well and was relatively quick, as it usually is. He also happened to be near my orthodontist, so the all-day trek was shortened significantly. And in fact, he told me, if I was diligent about my home care routine, that he would consider, after I got out of my braces, *reducing* the number of times I would need a regular cleaning/checkup to once a year.Within the last year, Loveland Family Dentistry moved and expanded. My theory is that this added additional overhead and other costs to their operations, and they started looking for ways to get more money per patient and appointment out of their existing and new clients (see the link below on dental practices over-treating patients). It was offensive and disappointing to be treated in this way. This might be useful reading material before you consider this practitioner - or any, for that matter:http://www.linkedin.com/…

Over Charged Refused refund

I had a cleaning at Dr Krause's office in Nov. 2011. I was told there was no charge that my insurance covered it in full. Sixty days later, I get a bill in the mail from them stating I was over 60 day late on payment. They claimed I owed $27.15. I paid right away and two weeks later I received a statement from Delta Dental stating I owed only $12.45. I've sent them a refund request via their website with no responce. I've called and left messages with all contact info and still have not received my refund. I would not recommend this dentist.
