I started collecting antiques and art in the 1970s. After 22 years in the private sector, I became a full time appraiser and dealer in 1991.
We work hard to help families and collectors understand value, collect wisely and try to bring a variety of methods to the process of liquidating an estate. We serve clients in the Colorado region and around the country
Following are some areas we specialize in:
We are experienced dealers, collectors and appraisers of American Indian material. Take some time to browse through this area of our web site to see examples of artifacts produced by the these cultures. We deal with only authentic and old material. All of our items are guaranteed as to tribe and period. If you have an item you suspect to be of Native American origins, please give us a call. We will help you identify the object(s) and/or perform a formal appraisal if needed. We are also willing to accept items on consignment or will purchase them outright.
Lone Tree Antiques has specialized in the antiques of the American cowboy for more than 20 years. We are experienced in material that reflects the cowboy's life and work from the period of the missions in California and Texas up to the cowboy of the 20th Century. We are always searching for quality spurs, chaps, hats, boots, belts, gun leather, clothing, saddles, bridles, photographs and paintings of the American cowgirl and cowboy, rare bits and so on. We do not keep a large inventory in stock but usually have several quality items that are available for sale.
Americana is a broad category that includes everything else. Early and unusual fishing items, folk art, tramp art, lamps, birdhouses, whirlygigs, historical books and paper, musical instruments, crocks and jugs, tobacco, coffee and other tins, signs, maps, knives, badges, fobs, diecuts, old country store items, display cases, diaries and so on. Anything that is from before 1920 and tells the story of life in early America is of interest. Give us a call. We keep this kind of inventory in stock and are always looking for more!
At Lone Tree Antiques we are interested in American paintings and vintage prints. We have a great deal of experience appraising and selling rare pieces and have lots of active clients for your paintings. We know how to assess American paintings and prints and are happy to share what we know. Call us for a free consult.
Lone Tree Antiques looks for furnishings that have that unique American style. We look for mission, modern, rustic, classic, country and home-made. These are all words that reflect the style that we love.
