The best food in Bar Harbor is at the Lompoc Cafe. When my wife and I visit Acadia National Park, which we've done a dozen times, we stay in Bar Harbor. And our favorite restaurant is the Lompoc. I would characterize the food as European eclectic with an emphasis on fresh, organic ingredients. The staff is more than courteous, they're intelligent. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. And if you want to know where the "locals" hang out and party, it's the Lompoc. There's always live music on the weekend and what a mix...on Friday we heard an Irish folk ensemble and, on Saturday, a Reggae band.
