Don't chance a loved one to go here!

by Jaime , 09/05/2012

My grandmother was at a point of her life when she needed rehabilitation. This place looks beautiful, but... I should have looked at the reviews of how horrible this place really is. My mother, and I went in every day to see her. So, we saw what was going on. Unfortunately, the nurses would not want to help the patients who needed help. You could smell, and hear people asking for help. When I would go get a nurse, because they are (at this time) understaffed so my grandmother needed have help using the restroom. They would leave her alone, which she was not in her right state of mind from being sick. She would fall continually! She would fall out of bed as well. One morning, my mother, and I went to see her on Christmas Eve, and her room was over 85 degrees. She was laying in her own diarrhea, which was dried! She had not been checked on. The Cna's did not do their job at all. One cna was rude to my grandmother, and shoved her. Another cna, who left her in the bathroom alone, said that it was okay to leave her, and argued with us about it. She said, "Your daughter are rude." You now how you are!!!! This place is terrible. The head nurse said my grandmother was at her last point of life, and was going to die. She wanted us to put her in a nurse home. We did, not knowing she was wrong. My grandmother was wondering whey she was there. It was horrible. Now she is at a retirement home, which is very nice, and doing very good! Shame on this place!

Terrible care.

My mom was in this facility for a week, then she went right back in the hospital. We were told that this was the second person returned to the hospital in a week. It was difficult to get the nurse's attention. They didn't notice she had a fever until it was 107. They said things to my mom like "do you think you're a princess?" and other comments with family members present. There are some people there who care about the clients, but there are not enough of them...and I will never take my mom back there. Please pick another place if you can!
