This place is worse than an animal shelter or prison. The administrator has no respect for the patients and family members. Additionally, some of the vocational nurses behave like doctors they assess and diagnose patient’s needs.

The rooms they show you if you visit are not what your family member will be assigned.

People should take a second look and how Leewood Nursing Home treats our family member in there nursing home. That means take responsibility for dropping them, and notifying the family members promptly.

My grandmother checked into the rehad and died 5 weeks later. The male nurses are allowed to bath and dress female patients. The doctor does not check on the patients like we thought. The day before my grandmothers death we found her slumpt over in her wheelchair in the dark with her back turned away from tv facing a a partically opened door. We alerted staff they called doctor and instead of us taking her to ER the doctor relaied to headnurse he was going to have help come to her. The nxt day we found out that the doctor did not send anyone that night. She had her first seziure in 84 years and when the parametics came they ask for the doctor and the man that said was her doctor told them he was not the doctor he was just visiting. Her heart was not strong enough to take that seizure so her heart broke and ours along with her. hospital can not recommend. Get your facts first. It will save your loved ones life. we found out to late.
