We have 3 children at Lee's Champion Taekwondo Academy and are huge fans of this program. We’ve seen first-hand how participant after participant has the opportunity to learn and grow. The Lees are a very caring family. They work hard to help all of their students excel and reach their goals. Along with teaching Martial Arts, they are also teaching leadership, respect, goal-setting, self-defense, and fitness. Grand Master Lee & Mrs. Lee make a great team. As a very busy parent, I love how organized their studio is. Classes are on time, students have fun, and they learn a lot. The students work very hard to achieve their goals and get the support they need to do their best. I also appreciate that their black belts can be certified thru the World Taekwondo Center in Korea. It adds credibility to their training along with a rich history of accountability, tradition, and well-developed excellence. We are so lucky to have Lee’s Champion Taekwondo Academy right here in Minnesota!!

I BOUGHT my first degree black there. The Lees are all about making a buck. Compared to other schools, this one doesn't do a great job of conditioning and making sure you improve. As long as you fork over money, they'll pass you along. I was asked to be on the leadership team and donate my time helping until they wanted me to buy a special colored uniform in order to continue. They have no respect and the minute you question anything, they turn against you. I did meet a lot of great students, but your money (and I'm guessing it would be a lot less) is better spent at a school that actually values you being there and where you can be proud to EARN a belt.

I recently enrolled my children at lees after I found a deal online which offered 8weeks of lessons for only $20. My children started going, everything was going well at first. After 4 weeks of lessons, we were asked to pay a $100 membership fee. (No other TKD school that I have found have these) I was very skeptical about paying this. I started to get the feeling the school cares about money more than its students. This was later confirmed when they told us that my daughter could not advance to her yellow belt because we did not pay this $100 membership fee. It's not a testing fee either. That's there as well. Other students that started the same day as my daughter, learned the same stuff, but have paid the fee get to advance?!?! I guess my daughter didn't learn as much because we didn't pay. How fair is that? 5 weeks into our lessons we withdrew our children and found a better school that didn't push people through like cattle just to make a buck. The regular classes and testing fees are outrageously overpriced. The skills that I saw the black belts exhibit in the "demo squad" appear to be extremely lacking as well compared to other demo teams I've seen. Bottom line is find a different TKD school unless you want to throw your money away

From a shy little White Belt to a strong, powerful, confident 1st Degree Black Belt! We are very proud of our daughter and all of her hard work (and it has been hard work) but more importantly she is very proud of herself. We love being part of the Taekwondo family at LCTA and are thankful for all of the support from everyone involved with Lee's Champion Taekwondo Academy

Our family has been extremely happy with our experience with LCTA. The staff and instructors truly care about their students and want them to do their own personal best. We have attended classes with LCTA for over 1.5 years and know that we will continue for many years to come. Master Lee is amazing with the children and adults. I asked my boys about their thoughts since they are the ones taking the classes and I thought they had some thoughtful responses. Oldest son: "Taekwondo is a great way to keep healthy and a fun sport to do with my little brother. It has helped us become closer as we work towards a common but individual goal (our black belts). Thank you Master Lee and LCTA for believing in us." Youngest son: "When I first started TKD at LCTA I was so nervous and didn’t want to go back after my first class. But by my third class, I was determined to earn my black belt one day. Taekwondo helps me believe in myself and I am now more confident." I can see it each and everyday the impact this wonderful program has had on my children. TKD at LCTA has been nothing but positive for our family.

My children have been with the LCTA program for 3+ years and we are very happy. The two previous bad reviews are obviously more on a personal level. You really have to be kidding yourself to think that your child will be getting such personal attention all the time in anything when there are so many people involved. There are a lot of students whom which Master Lee does his best to mentor and help personally, and he does take the time for indivual attention, if needed. It blows me away that he knows most all of the students names, can't say that about most people. I have not put my children in anything extra, and we have not received any LESS attention. I do not put my children into anything in hopes that they get special attention, so if that is what motivates people, that is just sad. My children are working towards a 2nd degree and a Deputy Black Belt and we have had no problems at all. I find it hilarious reading the two bad reviews, obviously from the same scorned family, and totally on a personal level. If you can't say No to everything offered to you, well then that is your own fault. I have said No and we are still treated just fine. Happy Patron of LCTA.

Very friendly team members, professional instruction, not only teach, martial arts techniques, but very important life skills, charactor development program, helps our children become better person. Not many place and activity you can actually enjoy with your children, Lee's champion Taekwondo acdemy offer mommy & me, Daddy & me, special preschool program, so you can have magic moments with your child. It is an outstanding Taekwondo school.
