BEWARE!!! I went to this practice to have a couple root canals done and had two teeth pulled. The dentist that helped me was very nice and respectable but a few weeks after I had the work finished I started receiving bills that were paid in full the last day I saw the dentist. I contacted them and the staff was friendly and told me that my insurance wasn't covering the work they did. ( as mentioned below by another patient ) I told them I would call my insurance and and figure out what was going on. The insurance company said they had paid their portion just a few days after the final appointment. So I called back and they realized they had made a simple mistake. Again very friendly. Then a week letter I started getting bills again. So I called in and asked why, they said the bill had never been paid and they were going to put me into collections. I had the bill in front of me and argued my way out of any more harassing bills. The woman I talked to was extremely rude and pushy. A couple months go by and I started getting bills for no call no show appointments. I never made another appointment with these people again. After two phone calls of threatening to turn them into the BBB and Get Gephardt I never hear from them again. Two years later all of the work they did has completely fallen out and so did my friends that I referred to them, but he had over two thousand dollars worth of work done with no insurance. When he pulled my teeth, he left large amounts of chipped teeth in the socked then stitched me up. I had shards of teeth festered up and work their way out over a long period of time. Really disgusting experience! Be very careful, these people seem great at first but, try to take advantage of you. Not to mention the horrible dentistry work.

Dr. Jeffry Neville--A 10 Star Dentist...

by Gaye Deamer , 02/27/2014

Dr. Jeffry Neville—A 10 Star Dentist...I drive from Bountiful to Layton for Dr. Jeffry Neville. He is the only Dentist I trust to work on my teeth. I give him 10 Stars. Dr. Neville is so caring, so professional and it's obvious he cares deeply about everyone who comes in his office. In addition, the staff and hygienists are great, they are also very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Layton Hills Dental to everyone.

They work miracles

by Martha B , 11/13/2013

OMG!!! Wow!!! I couldn't believe how clean and white Ms. Neleen and her assistant Becka got my teeth. I mean I had not been to a dentist or had a cleaning for over 15 years, and they got them so clean and white. Not only did they work miracles but they also gave me a huge discount!! I could not believe how affordable it was. I just want to say " THANK YOU MS. NELEEN" and everyone there at Layton Hills Dental for giving me a beautiful smile :D Thank you for going over and beyond great personal care.

Friendly, competent service

by Brenda, Layton , 09/04/2013

I have been a regular customer of Layton Hills Dental since moving to Utah in 2008. My hygienist Neleen and assistant Becca both do a thorough job on my cleanings, offering me tips to improve my dental health. They make it a pleasant experience as well.

Layton Hills Dental is a great place to go

by Jessica , 08/10/2013

I went in for our routine cleanings this week with 4 of my children. I was nervous that it would be a nightmare with me plus all of them, but it turned out so wonderful. We arrived on time and immediately were taken back. The dental assistant was so great and even got my 3 year old to get his teeth cleaned (I thought this would NEVER happen). We were all in and out so quickly, I was amazed. The hygenist was very professional and gave great tips to my kids for flossing and brushing. My oldest daughter had a chipped from tooth and the dentist took time to fix that for us so that we didn't have to come back. I am so thankful that Layton Hills Dental is where we go. I will never go anywhere else! The staff and Dr. Neville are so wonderful. If you are looking for a great dentist this is the place to go.

We've finally had enough

by BJensen , 07/24/2013

We have endured inconsistent service at Layton Hills Dental for a couple years. The front desk is largely unhelpful though often amiable enough. The hygenists were not always top notch but we generally liked the dentists. What wore us down was the regular tight scheduling such that we couldn't always combo family appointments. Furthermore they have a regular policy of scheduling so tightly that if they find a need, like a cavity, they have you back for more visits--rarely allowing time to address needs in one visit. It's a bothersome approach given how busy life can be with work and kids' school. What broke the camel's back of our patience was our visit in Feb 2013; we had some end-of-year monies to use with an insurance provider from which we were leaving -- and a fixed budget. We had Layton Hills Dental forecast for all projected services needed and approved the charges. Except then they had my wife in for 3 extra services not included on the forecast paperwork, which amounted to about $350 in extra charges that were not covered by insurance. We contested the unprofessionalism of them doing services not on the approved estimate paperwork but it got us nowhere. Finally in July 2013 I just paid the bill to stop having them hassle us. We won't be back--and it would be sweet justice if other customers felt the same.

We appreciate your comments and continually strive to improve our services. In reference to the above complaints: We always attempt to set aside the appropriate amount of time for procedures. On rare occasions, we find that due to unforseen circumstances, the procedures can be more time consuming than orginally planned. We would never force a pt to make appts for future work. We diagnose work needed and try to accommodate pts in doing work at their own pace. We make it a priority to treatment plan so that all pressing procedures are performed first that way if the pt needs to put off some of their work to a later date; it is less severe work that can be done at a later date. We give estimates to our pt so they can plan on how to budget for their dental work. However, whenever there are insurances involved, we can only give estimates which is a courtesy service we provide our pts. If patients want an exact estimate, then our recommendation is that we send a Pre-Auth to their so then an exact quote can be given. At no time, ever, do we perform work on a patient that financials have not been given and without consent of the pt. We take pt care very seriously in our office. Our hygienists are graduates of some the best Hygiene schools. They are very personable, gentle, and take pride in their quality of work. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you and continually try to improve upon our services..

Awful, and ridiculous

by TJames , 07/13/2013

Staff are rude, office is overcrowded and wait times ridiculous. They are unable to get their billing right with my insurance, and so they threatened to send me to collections even though I had to get the work fixed elsewhere. Just terrible.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on our services. Feedback is always welcomed as we continually strive to improve upon our services. In reference to the above complaint: With regards to our billing, whenever Insurances are involved, services rendered are always billed out to insurance within two days of the appointment. In most cases, insurances are billed the same day services were rendered. Depending on the Insurance co and the laws they have to abide by, will depend on how quickly they pay out. We have some insurances' that pay out within 2 weeks and others that will take 2-3 months to pay. Unfortunately, we cannot dictate to the insurance company the time frames in which claims are paid. I apologize, if it appears that we did not do everything we could to collect from your insurance co quick enough. We have certain staff members that just oversee billing and resubmits. Concerning your comments on overcrowding; One of the things we pride our office in, is how quickly patients are seen. General wait time is usually no more than 10 min. On occasion, we do have those emergency appts that throw our schedule behind. In those cases, the Dr will usually apologize and will let the pt know he had an emergency. As far as your dissatisfaction with the behavior of our staff, we make it a priority to make our patients feel welcome and at ease while ensuring quality care. We have brought your remarks to our staff's attention and appropriate measures have been taken to remedy the situation and improve upon the professionalism in our office. Again, we are always trying to improve and take your remarks seriously.

Pleasant visit to the Dentist? Yes, I guess it is possible!

by Joe , 05/01/2013

I had an appointment this afternoon and arrived a couple minutes early. I was greeted pleasantly by Holly at the front desk. She informed me that they would take me back shortly. The waiting room was warm and inviting, the furniture was comfortable, and they had a good selection of reading material. I had barely sat down, when Lily ushered me back so I could get my work done. The dentist was friendly and engaging, and put me at ease immediately. They did a great job,and completed the work quickly. I was in-n-out before I knew it. Holly was very helpful, and explained how they would work with my insurance, and explained my options. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Great job!

Layton Hills Dental is awesome....I have had work done there and also have taken my daughter there to have work done, they have some aweosme doctors that work very well with kids. my daughter had great time in the chair watching sponge bob while she got " the bugout of her tooth that was building a nest" as the assistant put it, after put it that way my daughter was not nervous at all. I have had cleanings there also and the hygenist are the best that i have had. They converse with ya the whole time and make ya feel right at home. I would totally recommend this awesome practice to any one, if Id refer my friends and family to them ya know they gotta be pretty alright!! :)

Patient for life

by soccermom22 , 04/30/2013

Layton HIlls Dental has always treated me and my kids like family We have now been going there for a few years. They are kind and willing to work with me on scheduling and finances. They are open late and on weekends which is what I need and found hard to find anywhere else. They get a little busy at times but its understandable because I'm sure they have alot of loyal patients and I have hardly ever had a wait. I am just writing this review because I enjoy their business a lot and it seems like a lot of times only negative reviewers find the time to post comments :). I recommend this place to all of my friends and family!!
