Kelli Biferie Hastings was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL on March 3, 1977 and is a third-generation Floridian. She graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Mathematics and minor in Religious Studies from Stetson University in 1999. In 2002, she graduated with a J.D. from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law and was admitted to the Florida Bar the same year. Since then she has gained extensive experience working as both a defense attorney representing insurance companies, and as a plaintiff’s attorney representing injured persons. She has also written appellate briefs and participated in oral argument on both sides of the appeals of numerous workers’ compensation matters. In 2008, she was recognized by the Florida Bar for special knowledge and expertise in the area of workers’ compensation law, when she was awarded a board certification for workers’ compensation. She is also an experienced civil trial litigator, having worked as staff counsel for a large insurance company defending personal injury claims. She now solely represents injured Plaintiffs, and concentrates her practice in the areas of Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Disability, and appeals.
