The Las Vegas Day School was founded in 1961 as the first non-sectarian, non-denominational private prekindergarten, elementary and middle school in the state of Nevada. We currently enroll 925 students from preschool through the eighth grade as the school enters its sixth year of campus development. Las Vegas Day School is licensed by the Nevada State Department of Education and accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools.

Las Vegas Day School seeks highly motivated students who thrive in a more stimulating academic setting. Students at the school consistently average between the 80th and 90th percentile on standardized achievement testing.

The Las Vegas Day School has begun a tradition for educational excellence, offering self-contained class instruction from preschool through fifth grade and a fully departmentalized middle school program for grades six to eight. The accelerated curriculum is college-preparatory in format. A certified teaching staff provides quality instruction in the basics, as well as humanities, arts, sciences, computer literacy, Spanish and physical education.

Additionally, we offer a wide variety of extra-curricular activities, including educational field trips, theater, band and music programs. We also have a large variety of clubs, such as the science and computer club, NJHS, student council and cheer leading, as well as a competitive sports program.
