I was charged $300 to repair a $200 machine. Then the woman in their office double-charged me in a credit card mixup that she created but won't fix. I'm down $600 and very sorry I ever went there.

I have been working with Larimer Electric Motor company for about 8 years now, I have taken everything from Dewalt drill motors to 50 HP Induction motors. I see alot of people saying how rude the service is there, well I disagree. If you show up there not knowing what you are talking about, just say so, I have never had a problem with ANY of the staff there, as a matter of fact, I will be picking up a Rewound 30 Hp motor on Tuesday....and I am happy as a clam abou the service.

As a scientist I value precision work and competent employees. Passing through Ft. Collins on a lecture tour, I needed to have a special motor checked and repaired. I searched the area and Larimer Electric Motor Co. was listed as established in 1960--staying power is important. Next I checked the comments and was very disturbed about poor experiences listed. Only a single star and very negative reports of service and office personnel. Since everything one reads on the Internet is NOT always true, I visited the compnay today to "test them out." I was met by a very courteous, smiling lady who immediately called a tech to the desk to hear about my motor problem. He listened carefully while the lady, Linda, wrote up my order. Then the tech explained all he would do and why if it were necessary. I was promised a call-back as soon as data could be gathered.I went back to the office to query Linda about the negative web site comments. She said that the person responsible for such negative feelings from customers had been gone since Sept. 6 and the company is trying to renew its quality reputation. I was totally impressed with my experience. If ever in this area again, I will call Larimer Electric Motor first. Thank you for such a positive experience. Others will be hearing from me! Extremely disappointed with customer service

I was so disappointed in the customer service at this place that I choose to drive miles out of my way to avoid the insulting manner in which I was treated. I went to the front desk with a motor in hand. While I'm not an electrician, I managed to disconnect the motor from the fan and was confident in my ability to switch it out for a new motor. The lady was extremely short with me and at one point even told me, "that's why you hire professionals to do this type of stuff." It was obvious to me that this establishment only wishes to cater to contractors and was not interested in a retail business. By the way - they were asking almost double the cost of what I paid for the replacement motor. Truthfully, they could have been selling for half off and I wouldn't have done business with the rude counter lady who has worked their "for five years" - as if that makes her an expert and any more of a certified electrician than I am!

My husban sent me here to get a new motor. The CRAZY LADY that works there was so nasty to me I left, almost in tears. Crazy Lady should not be let out in public. We will never darken that door again.
Nasty personel extremely high price

I purchased a motor for almost $ 200.00 and found same exact motor for in 2 different suppliers for $50 to $100 dollars less I am a service man and have been in the industry for 30 years and what bothered me most about the transaction was the furnace I was repairing was my own also when I called the store to complain the manager, Suzie hung up the phone and would not give me the time of day to hear me out I do not appreciate that type of service or to be treated the way I was I have purchased motors from this company for a long time and have never been treated so poorly with such little respect in my 30 years of industry service they have lost my business

I was looking for a new air compresser for my shop talked to a friend and he said go to Larimer Electric that is were I got the one for my shop it's two years old and still works perfect the guys that work there are intelligent and know what they are talking about . So I went and will never go back the lady that is in front was so rude and mean yelling at everyone in the place I just walked out.

I needed a new motor for my furnace. 01- 26-11... I decided to go to Larimer Electric instead of Grainger. Big mistake. I brought in the old motor to mach it up. The lady that runs the counter was so nasty and rude. I was never treated like that at Grainger. After about 1/2 hour of her trying to find a replacement motor, a tall thin gentelman found the motor. The lady then started to tell me how to install it. I tried to tell her that I have installed hundreds. She then screamed at me to shut up, she is talking. I walked out and went to Grainger.
