Lakeside Manor is an assisted living home that
accommodates people who can no longer or choose
to no longer live independently. We provide a wide
range of services and nursing services to people of
all ages and varying capabilities. We pride
ourselves on providing compassionate care while
maintaining a safe, secure and comfortable living
environment.

We encourage residents to maintain as much
independence as possible. Adults, who live at
Lakeside Manor, find they have more control over
their lives. Many of Lakeside Manor’s residents
have jobs in the community while others choose to
enjoy retirement and partake in Lakeside Manor’s
daily activities. Our goal is to help people maintain
a healthy lifestyle and to help integrate themselves
as much as possible into family life here and into
the community.

Lakeside Manor has been family owned and
operated for more than two decades.

Our greatest assets are our staff. They love their
jobs and it shows. They treat residents with a great
deal of compassion and respect. Hugs, handshakes
and pats on the back are part of everyday life here.

Our full time registered nurses are responsible for
nursing services and developing care plans that
meet the physical, mental and social needs of all
residents. A full staff of certified nursing assistants
provides 24 hour supervision. These trained care
givers help manage medications, work with
residents on hygiene and health care issues,
provide budget counseling and help individuals
connect with community based support programs.

Our Certified Food Manager assures our team of
cooks provide three homemade meals a day and
monitor each resident’s dietary needs assuring
proper nutrition.

Lakeside Manor is a beautiful, restored turn of the
century Victorian home overlooking Lake Superior.
The facility has three full levels of living space
allowing for individual comfort and privacy. The
facility is accented with high ceilings, solid oak
woodwork, stained glass windows and antique
chandeliers making it incomparable to any other
home in Northern Minnesota. The facility
comprises of several common areas with
comfortable furniture and dining room that
overlook the lake where residents can enjoy
activities, relaxation and social interaction.

Outside our spacious park-like grounds are
abundant in flora and feature walking paths, water
fountains, patios and many special places to spend
the day.

For recreation Lakeside Manor has an activities
building equipped with a pool table, foosball table
and exercise bike. Other activities include lawn
games, shuffle board, horse shoes and basketball.
Lakeside Manor is conveniently located on the bus
line and Lakewalk, close to the convenience store, bakery, post office, bank, church, Duluth Clinic and Lakeside shops and restaurants.

The facility also features an indoor ventilated
smoking room, vending machine, 15 passenger
activities van and is equipped with a state of the art
fire and sprinkler system for resident safety.
