Missing the way it was
by Erica M. , 09/26/2014
I've been a patron of Lafayette Feed for some 25 years. While the store is still well stocked and the employee's are friendly, I miss the more intimate feel it had when you were recognized as a regular customer. Dave ran a tight ship - the doors never closed before the posted closing time. Now employees are gone by then. Dave had decades of knowledge in his products and very close tabs on industry. He is missed.Regarding the issue of having a dog on the premise - Dave was all of the sudden not allowed to have a dog at the store last year, siting insurance reasons. However, since "new management" has taken over, there is a dog back in the store. I will continue to come to Lafayette Feed, but the dedication I had come to know no longer seems to be there.-A real customer
Regarding the review from Angrycustomer
by Lafayette Feed , 04/18/2013
The one legitimate statement that was made in this review was that Lafayette Feed and Grain has had to institute a policy that no longer allows employees to bring their personal pets to work. This was unfortunate but necessary as our insurance carrier found that having a dog on the premises was an unacceptable risk. It is very unfortunate that someone would claim to be a customer to publicly harass a business owner under an anonymous user id. It is also strange that a customer of a business would be involved in one of the employees finances or that they would think they were doing said employee a favor by making these sorts of accusations against the employer. Our real customers are always welcome to contact the Cathy Richardson on Facebook (facebook.com/pages/Lafayette-Feed-and-Grain), via Twitter (LafayetteFeed) or via email Cathy@LafayetteFeed.com.
Getting rid of DAVE ????????? Owner trying to push Dave out of store
by Angrycustomer , 02/22/2013
Owner Cathy is trying to run her brother in law Dave out of the family business. He has worked for her for 39 years and now that her husband has passed she is trying to get rid of Dave and make his life living hell at the store. He can not bring his dog to work anymore after 39 years. I'am sure finically she is trying to rob him also.PLEASE take your business elsewhere..
