Worse margarita EVER

by Great food - skip the drinks , 10/05/2012

Food was very it has always the 26 years that I have been eating here. Several of us ordered medium size margarita's....and the tequila must have gone thru the drink...ON SILTS!. 11.00 for a drink that had...maybe a 1/2 of a shot of tequila.Great food....but grab a drink else where first!

Love it!

Extremely disappointed!!! Ordered a frozen margarita andit was bland and not frozen. Sent it back and the secondone was equally bland and more like shaved ice. Ordereda chili rellenos which would have been good, if they werehot and not lukewarm. Certainly would not return orrecommend to others.

"Almost" Great

by Nancy M , 05/19/2011

Went to dinner with a party of three last night. Two of us received outstanding entrees. The third, an 84 year old woman, received her Acapulco Chicken salad with NO CHICKEN. She was too embarassed to mention it at the restaurant. I only found out later that evening when she mentioned her salad would've been more satisfying if they had put the chicken on it. I still feel terrible.

Great Food!

Great Mexican food here. Just delicious. I've eaten here probably 20 times and have never been disappointed.

La Loma Mexican Restaurant

by Mariana1948 , 01/10/2011

We arrived at la Loma at 4:50 p.m. and were told there was a 20 minute wait. We waited 55 minutes while several parties were being seated. We inquired and they told us they were doing they best they could. The food was average - it took about 25 minutes to get our food, while the waiter had served three of us he turned and hit the tray and two of our orders were splattered against the wall. Needless to say we have never had worse service in a restaurant. We do not plan to go back anytime soon.

Best Mexican Food I have EVER had!!

by Colorado Doggs , 01/01/2011

My friend and I stumbled into La Loma 15 minutes before they closed the other night. While, I am SURE they didn't want to seat, wait on and cook for 2 more people, they were very polite and gracious. It was my birthday and both my friend and I had been craving GOOD Mexican food. We were pleased beyond our wildest expectations. Everything was fantastic! From the chips and salsa, to their famous chile verde. We both had chicken as our meat and it was excellent quality, very tender! My frozen Mango Margarita was AWESOME! This is the best meal of any kind that I have had in a LONG time! Go La Loma!!! : )

Dr. Carol

I have been sampling La Loma's cuisine for more than 20 years! And I never grow tired of its menu selections or the ambiance. The chips and salsa are to die for. I often eat those as if they were the main course. The Flan is some of the finest I have had anywhere, Mexico included. And don't forget the green chili, it is some of the tastiest chili anywhere and rivals some of the best in Mexico. When my youngest was a baby; he is now almost 18, one of the managers told us we would have to leave because he was fussy and other customers complained. We didn't leave and I am glad we have continued to return despite the rudeness of the manager. (He was dismissed sometime ago.) Our whole family looks forward to visiting La Loma in its remodeled authentic house of the original owner. Try to sit on the porch outside, and have plenty of wonderful margaritas!
