Description: For 30 years we have offered the highest quality Chile Verde in Utah and are the home to the Smothered Burrito. The only question that remains is, do you want that with cheese and onions?

La Frontera was started in 1980 by Antonio Tovar. Antonio was born in Guanajuato Mexico and made his way to the United States at the age of 15 not knowing any English or anybody. He struggled to try and adapt to life outside of Mexico and survived solely on his will to work. 27 years after his arrival in America, Antonio started what would be one of the fastest growing local Mexican restaurants in Utah. Antonio was a very flamboyant man and was easily recognized by his Mexican hat (called a Tejana), stylish suits, and confident presence. La Frontera's platters command just as much attention as Antonio once did, just order the Frontera Nachos for proof. He wanted BIG platters, he wanted OUTSTANDING food, but most of all he wanted to name his creation something meaningful. La Frontera literally translated means "The Border". Antonio believed wholeheartedly that success is gained through a strong work ethic, dedication, and the support of a great country. La Frontera stands for all the borders and obstacles that one must face in order to get where he/she wants to be in life. It especially stood for the border between success or failure in Antonio's life
At La Frontera, we are committed to delivering top-notch customer care in a fun and family-friendly atmosphere. We strive for excellence and remember that we are here for our customers first and foremost. We cannot wait for you to meet the La Frontera family and "Smother" yourself with fun and flavor!

About our Chile Verde and Smothered Burritos

Our Chile Verde is unlike anything you have tasted before and has remained the same recipe for over 30 years. Our Chile Verde can be found on a number of items throughout our menu. The Smothered Burritos, however, are our most popular. A tortilla with your choice of beans, fresh ground beef, or chicken is rolled up and "Smothered!". It is also available as its own entr¿e. If you are a first time visitor and do not know what to order, just say "Smothered!" and prepare your taste-buds for a glorious roller-coaster ride that can only end in satisfaction! Many competitors have attempted to duplicate our Chile Verde but none have been able to match the quality or flavor that La Frontera continues to offer. When in doubt, just say, "Smothered!

New Centerville LaFrontera dirty and grouchy service

by EEZZZ to Please , 05/11/2012

La Frontera is new to Centerville, Utah. Don't expect very much if you go. The staff are worse than unfriendly. They actually seem to dislike white Americans. They are grouchy. The floors and seats are dirty. Staff pushes around a dirty dishes cart table to table WHILE YOU ARE EATING to clear off your dirty dishes. REALLY??? This is NOT some trash town you can get away with this. I predict LaFrontera will shut down in Centerville before September unless they wake up and run their business professionally.

Salsa that comes of a ketchup bottle!

by Sherdeal , 11/16/2010

The first time I went to this restaraunt, I ordered a burrito, wich was good. Then I heard a kid crying that was sitting a few tables away from me and my friend. Come to find out this kid had ordered a hamburger and french fries. This kid had mistaken the salsa bottle from ketchup. He or she poured the salsa all over their french fries. The salsa is really hot for someone that isn't used to the spicy hot salsa. I liked their burrito though.

Best Mexican Food!!

This is the best Mexican food around! I have grown up eating their food and love it. There is no comparison

this is the worse place "burritos are not Mexican" if you ask any Mexican that you know were the burritos are from you will get a surprising answer, this company miss treat their employees so they take their anger and put in your food, i never eat there again.

Don't eat here

by applegirl , 04/06/2009

We were not impressed at all with this restaurant! It started when we sat down for the chips and salsa. You squeeze the salsa out of a ketchup bottle already sitting before you on the table. Leaves us wondering how old is it really? We felt the food looked like everything was from the cheapest materials possible. Pre-canned meat perhaps? Who really wants that when your looking for some good Mexican food?! Everything tasted like it was pre-made and sitting in the back waiting for someone to order it. Nothing but over cooked burritos and tacos smothered in gross cold beans and tuns of lettuce. They could improve themselves and actually make the food authentically. Until then, I recommend to all that are looking to eat your money (our meal was a lot too) for something else. Your better off finding a taco bell rather then force down this food!
