This place was HORRIBLE!!! First off, we get to our table and it is still dirty and not wiped down. Then we order our food and the say they do not take credit! What place in the 21st century does not have a credit machine. When our food came the casadilla was not cut , when I asked the guy at the counter to cut it for me he pointed me to where the knives were. I got my chicken salad and there were literally 3 pieces of chicken in the vat of beans they called a salad. The customer service was something out of a horror film. Do not eat here on principle alone!! Where has customer service gone???

Good food low prices and fast services, you won't be disappointed

Love this place. It's not exactly authentic Mexican, but the food is still very tasty, and cheap. (even though they recently raised the prices). It's my go-to place when my budget is tight. The free chips and salsa are some of the best in town. Oh and they have the best ice!

Being a Chico Native and loving La Comida my entire life, I will not eat there anymore. I have had several bad experiences in the last few months. The first couple of times I thought it was just a bad day, as I have always loved La Comida. Now I see that this is how it is going to continue to be, bad service, dirty dishes and not so great of food anymore. The staff couldn't care less, don't care if your glass is dirty or order is incorrect, never an apology. The bus boys stand around talking all the time and are actualy in your way to getting chips and salsa. I see that none of the senior staff works there anymore and it is basicly being run by people who don't give a darn. I have not seen JR (the owner) in there at any time I have been there in the last six months. I would NOT recommend La Comida to anyone who wants quality food on a clean plate and good service.
