KUOW is a public radio station that provides news, information and cultural programming. The radio station broadcasts from Capitol Hill in Seattle with a power of 100,000 watts. It has studios located in Seattle's University District. The station serves the Puget Sound region on 94.9FM, in Bellingham, Washington on 90.3FM, in Olympia, Washington on 1340AM and through Internet. KUOW produces several programs, including The Beat, The Conversation, KUOW Present, Speaker's Forum and Weekday. Its programs hosts include Dave Beck, Megan Sukys, Ross Reynolds, Amanda Wilde and Steve Scher. The radio station is licensed by the University of Washington. KUOW is a founding member of the National Public Radio and Public Radio International.
