no thorough exams! UNCLEAN
by Hanna , 10/27/2014
Shares private information with anyone without written permission from owner. UNSANITARY! Elderly doctor could not trim my dog's nails without cutting into the quick and making him bleed! One of the young girls had to cut his nails! Prices are good because they are not up to date and never do a thorough examination!
Amazing Vet an Staff
by Heathe rCheek , 10/24/2012
I came in today with an emergency when my pit had been jumped by another dog an needed immident attention.. we was back there as soon as we got in an they really knew what they was doing. we was in an out within 15mins. i will always go back to them. My dogs are like my children an they was very caring an understanding. Not to mention they didnt charge me a leg an arm for her having to get stiches an being seen. plus in 2 weeks they will take the stiches out with no charge. i think the staff an vet are super friendly and are actually worried an care about their patients an not whats in their wallet! i would recommend highly for people to come to them.
they are old time vets...

They are a great clinic for owners who know animals, deseases, and symptoms. You must have a very good idea of what is wrong with the animal and request the treatment for it.... baisically put, go there if YOU know what the animal needs. You can't beat the prices for the medication.

Dr. Barry Edwards is wonderful with my pets
by Patty McDanile , 06/19/2011
Barry Edwards has always been concerned about my pets first!! He is wonderful, and always has been with all my pets!! I have been going there for about 14 yrs, I wouldnt go anywhere else! The nurses there are the best, they really care about your animals like it was there own!!
Not thorough enough
by disappointed , 06/14/2011
Let me first say that I like Dr. Edwards and the nursing staff very much. They've always been very nice and helpful. My complaint is just a general lack of thoroughness. They are affordable, and it's because they don't do a lot of tests and bloodwork. Tests that sometimes need to be done. My dog was diagnosed without any kind of test and was put on medication that she takes twice daily. After two years, I've come to find out from another vet (after my dog developed more severe problems) that it's probably something completely different and my dog should have been tested in the beginning and also every six months while on the medication. I'm disappointed that the doctors at Kinard wouldn't have gone the extra mile to be sure she was correctly diagnosed and getting the exact care she needed. I would have gladly paid more for that.

I have been using Kinard animal hospital for many years now, and I will not take my pet to anyone else. Dr. Kinard and Dr. Edwards are the most compassionate, helpful people I know. And there nurses are great too. I have had boxer pups delivered there, and had great results with that. We had to have a dog put down and they sent us a sympathy card. And there prices beat any other vet that I have ever know. Thank you

Have taken our pets here since 1986... LOTS of pets, by the way. Am always impressed by the vets' honesty - with good news and bad. Have seen their compassion when a pet needed to be euthanized, and have seen their skill when medical care was needed. We could not be more satisfied. Interesting, too that none of our pets have ever shown unwillingness or fear to enter the animal hospital - seems to me that they must be doing something there.
Works with me
by Brian , 10/15/2009
Been there several times with my three cats and one dog. The cats are older and they have worked with me on their diet and maintaining good blood levels. My dog swallowed an obect and after an x-ray they sent me to Greenville with him where he had surgery. They probably saved my dog, so as to the other post, I doubt very highly that they would put down an injured dog that could not be saved, they have no interest in that...but I am sorry to hear for your loss.
