For 75 years, Kendall College has offered engaging, specialized fields of study with a strong emphasis on immersive learning that is geared to a student's academic, personal and professional success. Whether choosing Kendall's School of Culinary Arts, School of Hospitality Management, School of Business or School of Education, students are encouraged to explore their talents, interests and passions; and to discover a wealth of exciting opportunities.
Kendall also offers full-time and part-time combined online and weekend programs in its business and hospitality schools designed for working adults.
Kendall’s School of Culinary Arts has prepared outstanding culinary professionals for 25 years. Kendall College won the Academy of the Culinary Arts Cordon d’ Or – Gold Ribbon Cooking School of the Year Culinary Academy Award for 2008. Its Bachelor’s and Associate's Degree programs are intensive, hands-on, and cutting-edge; utilizing 12 commercial-grade kitchens, an exclusive on-site fine dining restaurant and an equally well-regarded cafeteria.
The programs are designed to successfully launch students’ careers in the vast food service industry, equipped with superb culinary skills and the equally critical business management and communication skills. Students intern locally, nationally and internationally at top-notch hospitality and culinary venues. Instructors have strong professional and academic credentials, formal culinary training and at least ten years of professional experience.
The School of Hospitality Management prepares leaders in the hospitality industry through a unique curriculum that blends the art of hospitality with the science of management; combining European savoir faire with American management know-how. Kendall’s School of Hospitality Management is an official affiliate institution of the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland, ranked in the top three international hospitality management schools in the world for an international career (Taylor Nelson Sofres 2007). The B.A. program offers a variety of concentrations: asset, casino, club, hotel and lodging, meetings and events, restaurant and food service management and sports and leisure management. Students intern locally, nationally and internationally at leading hospitality and culinary venues.
Kendall’s School of Business prepares graduates to succeed in today’s global workforce by focusing on the services industries. The program offers a Bachelor of Arts in Business with seven concentration options - food service management, management, psychology, small business management and culinary concentrations in baking and pastry, personal chef and catering or professional cookery. The curriculum is taught by a multinational, accomplished faculty of industry experts and uses situation-based challenges, actual case studies, management simulations and integrative projects to produce employment-ready graduates.
Kendall’s School of Early Childhood Education is designed specifically for working adults. Courses are offered on campus and online, allowing students the flexibility to work full time but also the benefit of interacting with classmates and faculty in small class environments. For those pursuing their bachelor’s degree, Kendall provides four concentration options - childhood nutrition, English as a second language, infants and toddlers or special education.
