Drs. Michael Foland, Chris Erion, Kim Girouard, Nicole Slater, and our team are committed to bringing you and your pets better health by practicing the science of Veterinary Medicine. Keizer- based Keizer Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1968. Since then our staff has been practicing veterinarian medicine and compassionate animal care in the Keizer area. Keizer Veterinary Clinic is a full-service Animal Hospital whose mission is to provide the highest standard of quality and compassion in veterinary care for our patients and welcoming, informative, and supportive service for our clients, while maintaining a superior working environment for our employees. Keizer Veterinary Clinic offers the Keizer animal community emergency veterinary services in addition to standard medical, surgical, and dental veterinary care. Because we have an in-house pharmacy, lab, radiology facilities, and Intensive Care Unit, our facility enables you to make one stop for your pet's medical care. We are open for appointments during normal business hours.Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency. Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion.

Client for 15 years by Brenda - 10/21/2009In response to "disgusted ", what it provokes in those of us who truly know Dr. Erion, is disgust. He has been my veterinarian for the past 14 years. He is nothing less than one of the most passionate men in his field about the animals he sees and cares for, and exhibits a professional attitude in a caring and nurturing environment. I have lost some of my "kids" during his tenure and he not only shows compassion for the animal but also the owner(s). He has gone beyond his calling in a time of need, and never have I seen him display any kind of angry behavior toward animal or person. A person who will discuss and interact with clients on the treatment and care needs of his patients he is, and has always been. I see the Keizer Veterinary Clinic, and all their doctors as an asset to our community. So what your note has provoked is disgust for what you have so wrongly stated, and pity that you did not listen for the welfare of your animals.

Dr. Erion and staff are awesome!! by TM - 10/16/2009I cannot say enough great things about Keizer Vet Clinic. Everyone from the front desk to the vet techs to my experiences with the doctors (especially Dr. Erion)is absolutely terrific!! I have been taking my pets there for almost 15 years and have nothing but excellent service. Dr. Erion is very talented and provides nothing but the best for my pets. Dr. Erion answers my questions truthfully and from the heart which is a hard combination to find these days. Dr. Erion and I have a great respect for one another and it shows in the way he listens to me when I talk about my pets. I have brought Dr. Erion several tough cases and he has spent many hours doing research on his own time and then calling me at home to discuss the available options. I will always be eternally grateful to Dr. Erion (and staff) for being so flexible, compassionate and understanding. If you are looking for professional care, great follow-up and thoroughness then I highly recommend Dr. Erion and KVC.
Dr. Erion is professional, thorough and caring by Cockermom - 10/11/2009Dr. Chris Erion, at Keizer Veterinary Clinic, has taken care of 9 of my dogs over the past 17 years. He has helped them get well, helped them stay well and also helped them die. He has taken time out of his personal life to ensure the life and death of my animals has been taken care of with tenderness and dignity. One of many reasons I request Dr. Erion when I take one of my dogs to the clinic is because he is incredibly professional, thorough and caring. He and I work together in choosing the treatment plans for each individual dog so my animals get the best treatment for their individual needs. He always puts my animals needs first when he recommends a course of action for my dogs and is always open to discussion on which course of action needs to be taken. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Dr. Erion to anyone who is looking for a great Vet. I wouldn't even consider taking my dogs to anyone else.
Dr. Chris Erion takes wonderful care of my cats by CASue - 10/09/2009I have been taking my cats to Keizer Veterinary Clinic since 2005 when I moved to the Salem area. Dr. Chris Erion is my veterinarian. My cats seldom have ordinary problems, but Dr. Erion approaches these diagnostic challenges with determination and passion. It is very reassuring to know that my cats are receiving the best of care from someone so concerned about their comfort and well-being. Dr. Erion's compassion and professionalism are awesome. And, he is part of an equally awesome team of veterinarians, technicians, and front office staff at KVC. I would recommend Dr. Erion and KVC to anyone who loves their pets and wants the best possible care for them.
Negative Post by Disgusted on Dr, Erion by splatinc - 10/08/2009A freind told me of the review posted here by the woman who "claims" Dr. Erion and the Keizer Vet office lacked compassion and that the Dr's ego prevented her from getting care for her dog. All I can say is this woman is full of it. My family used Keizer Vet for over 30 years, starting with Jerrty Orlando. Out of all the vets that have ever worked there, and there have been many, Dr, Erion is at the top of the list. You could not find a more caring and compassionate person. My ex and I did cocker spaniel rescue for years. Twice Dr. Erion met us at the clininc after hours, on a Sunday when one of our dogs needed help to the bridge. He left his family to help us when we were loosing one of our family. I suggest strongly after reading the womans post that the ego problem was hers, she did not want to listen to the advice given by Dr, Erion and like any business person, if your a professional and people don't want to do what you suggest, why should you continue with them?
