Good beer, expensive food by Best - 10/30/2007Unless you've been at Katie Down's before, it can be confusing to figure out how to get your food and drinks. There are two registers/order stations at the bar, which tend to be very slow. Food is casual- burgers, fish and chips, pizza- but pricey. It can be fun with a big group of adults- no kids allowed- but can also be hard to find a table.
relaxed by PoseyJones - 10/29/2007If you want decent food but not the formality of a posh sit down meal then Katie downs is a fun relaxed place to go. It is in a great location on the waterfront and the prices are very reasonable. It is always noisy so if you want quiet then go somewhere else.

fun atmosphere by Emeel - 10/23/2007It could be because my husband and I hadn't been out on a grown-up date in so long, but we had a really great time here. It's a restaurant bar with all the bar kind of meals you can think of. Nice hamburgers and fries. Noisy, busy, therapeutic. You have to order your own food and drinks at the counter (and pay ahead), but the wait staff brings it out to you.

Nice deck on a sunny day by grrlmom - 09/17/2007This a very casual pizza and beer joint that is always very crowded. If you can get a spot on the outside deck it is a nice way to spend a summer afternoon. It is probably the least expensive place to hang out on the Ruston way waterfront, but I am not a big fan of standing in long lines to order your food, which is then brought out to you at your table.
