Definitely worth the investment! After purchasing our first dog (energetic boxer puppy) we wanted our dog to have the ability to roam the yard freely but to be safe at the same time. The selling point with K-9 Contain and Train was the customer service. We were installing a new driveway so Steve was right there that day to ensure the wiring was properly run before any asphalt was layered down. Our puppy was 9 months old at the time of installation so I was a little skeptical of its effectiveness. Much to our surprise our dog was fully trained and out on her own in the yard within 3 weeks. What a relief to be able to let your dog out a door and not worry about safety. In the few times I have called Steve with a question, he has returned my call within the hour. So customer service has been a 5++ for us. The collar is rechargeable so you are not constantly changing batteries and a collar stays charged for a good 2 months. Highly recommend!

When we first considered invisible or electronic dog fences we were skeptical that our German Shepherd would run right through it. We were also skeptical at the price of the systems out there and considered just buying the parts and installing it myself. Well K-9 Contain & Train changed my mind and I'm glad they did. It has been such a blessing to be able to just let our dog out and play in the yard with out worrying about him leaving the yard. We were so happy that when we moved we called up and had them reinstall the system in our new house. I was amazed that once the flags went up at the new house to let our dog know where the line was, he instantly remembered from his previous training. The system is maintenance free except that you have to charge the collar. Success of the system depends on the dog owner sticking to the training plan.

YES! A 5 Star Rating!! Why? K9 Contain was very competitively priced & their installation was seamless. Steve the owner & trainer really wants you to be happy with his service & truly cares for your dogs safety & well being. We watched from afar as Steve helped our dog acclimate to the corrections that the containment fence brings. He kept us back so that he would be the bad cop to our good. After about 25 minutes our dog got it & we were reintroduced. I was nervous about zapping our pet because I thought it was going to be like sending him to the electric chair! It was nothing of the kind. This has been the best and safest thing we could have done for our dog. Steve always followed up immediately on all our calls & came back 5 days after the install to walk our dog through final training to graduation. Steve also recommended & trained us on how to use a Gentle Leader & that was the frosting on the cake putting us on a path of having a well behaved & adjusted pet. AWESOME. Thanks STEVE

We contacted K-9 and other companies to compare what they offered before deciding on we would use. We decided on K-9 because of their extensive training and lifetime training guarantee. Their trainer, Steve, came out to our house for over two weeks to be certain Bailey was trained to understand the boundaries. The training was very extensive and gave us comfort in knowing when we let her out that she understands the boundaries no matter what is happening on the other side. We saw first hand - during training- that she wouldn't leave the yard when another dog came into the yard. He even trained her not to leave the yard when we went to the mailbox. All in all very professional, exceptional service. We would highly recommend K-9!!!

We spoke to many companies and finally decided on K-9. They were very professional, answering all our questions. We have three dogs. Steve the trainer took the time to get to know each of them and train them individually, as well as together so that we would know that when we let them out together they would stay safely inside our yard. He tried a lot of different things during the training to get them to know that they couldn't leave the yard no matter what! It was an intense few weeks, but in the end it was so rewarding to open the door and know that my three dogs were safe. I would highly recommend them. They do all the containment training so we- the owners- remain the 'good guys'! Thanks so much Steve and the staff at K-9!!

My wife and I adopted Denver this past May; he is a 1 1/2 yr old yellow lab who was a hurricane rescue dog from LA. After having had home visits from 3 different companies, we chose K-9 Contain&Train. We felt that the integrity of the system was sound, the service was high quality and easily accessible and above all, the training was done by the professional trainer/owner. Steve helped us in so many ways. From understanding how our dog thinks to how we should best train our dog, Steve was a key tool in the success of Denver's adoption. He provided friendly service and completed the training at convenient times for our schedule. He himself did the work with Denver and brought us into the training model as the positive experience while any types of corrections were done by him. We found this to be a critical element with Denver. Denver's trust in us was reinforced throughout the training. We thank Steve for his help. We both fully recommend K-9 Contain & Train to our family/friends.

We had this system installed after speaking with a few companies. It was twice the price of the others, but we were sold on the "wonderful" training process. It took over a month and a half to get it installed (after he had a check also). This should have been our first sign of trouble. Once installed, he did a few very quick training sessions- which we could not watch, as he said it might cause the dog to think we were the bad guys. The system failed in the first electrical storm, the collar, which I was in the middle of trying to get off the dog, kept correcting him with electrical zaps so he started freaking out, tried to bite me (NOT AT ALL like him) and ran and hid under the bed. Poor dog got several minutes of charges till I could get the collar off. When I called for help- all I got was a "hmmm- that is weird". Three weeks later he came to look at the system and replaced the controller with a lesser grade then in our contract, no battery backup. System works terribly!!
