Privates:

Just wanna dance specializes in beginning social partner dancing for Weddings and just for fun. The distraction-free Private Sessions are customized to your needs. You have the floor and music to yourself for the entire session. Avoid difficult to compare packages, simply pay as you go. Sales Pressure Free, you decide how many sessions you want. Private Sessions are by Appointment (afternoons and evenings, Tuesday through Saturday) held at a private NE Albuquerque Studio, with a floating wood dance floor. Call or email to schedule your appointment.

For best results, work with a partner (a leader & a follower).
Children especially need a partner of appropriate height.


Wedding Privates:

Free extras for the wedding couple, download of first dance music, editing if needed with copy, choreography with practice sheet & most important a lesson plan to save you time during your session. Regular private session price will not increase before wedding (minimum two sessions per month). For a truly fun and relaxed First Dance please allow time to practice. Dancing is a skill and deserves the time to develop.


Special Priced Beginning Adult Mini-Group:

New in Town? Join a Sunday Afternoon Mini-Group. Partner recommended, but not necessary. Call for details (price, location, time & dance)


Design Your Own Mini-Group:

Share a private session with friends at a group price. Two leaders & two followers work on the dance of your choice & schedule at your convenience. Call for details.

Adult Mini-Group age16 & up with partner.
Youth Mini-Group age15 & under with partner.


Small Group Class:

These small classes are geared for adult beginners and cover basic steps, timing, technique, and the elements of lead & follow. Rotating partners is not required. Must have a minimum of 8 registered students to hold a 7:00 pm Sunday evening Small Group Class. Preregistration & non-refundable prepayment is required. Call for details (price, location, shoe requirement, & dance being taught).


Instructor Qualifications:

Karen Lantz began her dance experience in the 3rd grade. Early years consisted of 10 years of Tap & Jazz. Starting in 1993 Karen began studying Ballroom & Latin through UNM then continued with private coaching through a major dance studio and many visiting coaches. She competed from 1995 to 2002 both pro-am and with amateur partners of the same level. Karen began teaching in 2003 creating Just wanna dance, a very relaxed, pay as you go, studio.
