Yes the child was only with us for 2 weeks. But NO child has ever gone hungry because the parents forgot their food or bottle. This child was given a spare bottle and food when we realized that the father had not fed him before bringing him to daycare at 12:30 in the after noon. Yes the child was sent home after an hour at daycare. Why? Because he projectile vommited all over himself, me and the floor. He was sent home according to our daycare policy. I'm sorry we had to interrupt the fathers sleep time, but his son's health was more of a concern to me. The child was not sent home to get a free day off of dad as he states, but because he was vomiting all over himself.As for the Metal putty knife. This plastic, Fisher Price Cool Tool is part of a center that we have for our children. If the parent were more observant they would have realized that it was a plastic toy that really look like the real thing. They are made to look that way.My staff went out of their way to help this child adjust to daycare. In fact I believe we went above and beyond that with this child. I and my staff spend hours with him exclusively while other staff worked over time to take care of the other children. This included staying after shifts and over lunch breaks just so the other staff would have time to be with the other children and complete their other duties.I have owned my center for 13 years and am very proud of my center and every staff member who workes there. We work extremely hard with every child and parent to make their experience with us a good one. The parent is one of a minority that have left us because we could not satisfy them or their child. Unfortunately, no matter how good we are, everyone knows that you can NOT please everyone all of the time. That is the case with this parent. I am sad that they were not happy, but I KNOW that we do a great job and have 27 other happy customers to back us up right now, and hundreds of happy past clients also.
