- I went to JR's whistle stop for dinner on a thursday (by myself) and was seated between two families with screaming kids despite the fact 70% of the resteraunt was empty, i ordered a root beer, when it came "no straw" I asked for one, it didn't come, i asked again and finally got one, I ordered the 8 oz serloin and fried shrimp, it came "wrong order" i got my meal, and asked for Steak sauce, it didn't come, i asked again, i got tired of waiting after all my sides were done, and decided to eat it anyway (i was hungry) , If the steak had not been perfectly cooked (wich it was) i would have walked out without paying... The crappy service left a bad taste in my mouth (pun) but the food was excelent, so i decided the watress owed me something (like a tip) my bill was 19.85 i paid 17.85 and left.... so in short. Great Food!!! Bad service.
