My husband has been a patient (and friend he thought) of Dr. Johnson since his practice began some 30 plus years ago. Recently he had been hospitalized several times. Each time he would follow up with Dr. Johnson as directed. This last time however he received quite a different reception from his doctor. Dr. J asked him what happened and when my husband said that the records had bee sent to him, he replied that the print was too small and he should just tell him what he needed to know. WHO DOES THAT? How could a doctor chance that his patient knows everything that pertains to his condition? If he had read his file he would have that his kidney function had also been an issue that required follow up with a Nephrologist. After performing the most basic of exams, he told my husband that he would not sign orders for home nursing or oxygen and that his cardiologist should take care of his care since he was familiar with his needs. The office women said they would fax the papers to his cardiologist. WHAT RESPONSIBLE DOCTOR DOES THIS?? Today we found out that the visiting nurse could not come back because Dr. Johnson would not sign the order and when he began having breathing problems there was no oxygen. His cardiologist had not received any faxes and were unable to help us and advised us to go the ER. I called Dr. Johnson's office and at first they denied having any paper work to fax. After some words they acknowledged having the nursing order but not one for oxygen. After some more words and a completely irresponsible response I hung up, My husband was angry at this treatment but more than that he was devastated by Dr. Johnson's uncaring, callous attitude. Needless to say we will be going to a new primary care doctor who is willing to do his job as a primary care doctor.

Dr. Johnson prescribed unneeded medicine to me and my son. Eventually I got better but my sons illness got so bad he had to be checked into the hospital. Also we missed a 75 dollar bill throughout this process and he refused to see anyone in my family even after I explained it was just an oversight and paid the balance. Worst Dr I have ever delt with and would recommend web MD over this greedy Dr.



Unless you are a celebrity don't expect good care, he spent more time telling me about his golfing than diagnosing me or my son.
